Yes, it’s important to be fit as a rider. Especially as we age.
It’s not necessarily your weight sitting on the back but it your inability to control your own weight and let it follow the horse.

Mabel
At just one month old this filly is already elegant, athletic and impossible to overlook. Mabel has inherited bold elastic movement, natural balance, strong top line and uphill gaits that will make her a very exciting hunter or dressage prospect. If your also into longevity and soundness, both parents have amazing feet so she is sure to have get balanced feet to hold her up through a very competitive life. This filly would canter everywhere if she could, naturally just wants to sit on her hocks and push, talk about balance! Beyond her athletic potential, she is sweet, in you pocket, and VERY people orientated. With her Dam being used as a lesson horse after years of dressage training and her Sires undeniable good nature, she is going to be a barn favourite and quiet enough to be the perfect amateur mount, but flashy to get heads turning in any ring or devision.

This is 100% a keeper filly, perfect in every way, however with breeding cost being higher than expected this year, she is regretfully being offered to a show performance home only.

Horse buyers beware!! With the over use of AI these days, please exercise some constructive analysis of advertising on social media.

I had a client send me a sale add the other day that was all clearly AI.

Yes, it might have been an accurate representation of what the horse looked like, however the photo quality and illusion allows the asking price to be higher than what the horse actually is worth. Make educated decisions and ask questions to see more than just photos.

But also on the flip side, learn to look past the quality of the picture and see the quality of the horse. This often requires you to seek the advice of an experience professional.

Examples below of very high quality horses in low quality photos.

Breeding season for this guy is officially done!! And he exceeded all the expectations.
Now to focus on under saddle training and the fall Stallion inspections.

Bo and Jessica are trying new things again. Thought we would pop him over some cross rails for the first time before he heads off for his final breeding of the season.

We finally had our first trail/obstacle ride that didn’t get rain out and make us retreat to the indoor arena.

If you’re looking for a fun horse experience for the family, this might be it.

The kids couldn’t even get their helmets off before asking when they can come back.

Baby Mabel gives the nibble of approval to the new hats. It just looked far to clean to be a ranch hat, so she looked after that for me.
