For the past 12 years, Gladiator has been an irreplaceable part of the Pickering Horse Centre family.

This kind, patient, and talented boy has helped countless riders build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve success in both the hunter and jumper rings. Whether it’s a rider’s first show or a personal breakthrough, Gladiator has always been there, giving his heart every step of the way.

He’s more than just a school horse—he’s a trusted teacher, a loyal teammate, and a favourite of so many who have had the privilege of riding him.

The South Ring is now a 7:30 AM Warm-Up, with an 8:30 AM start time.

Exciting news for our Hunter Derby Challenge Series competitors! 🎉

We’ve made some changes to help make our shows more affordable and accessible for everyone. For the 2026 season, our Hunter Derby Challenge Series competitions will be sanctioned by Ontario Equestrian (OE) rather than EC, allowing us to significantly reduce entry costs while still providing a fun, competitive, and rewarding experience.

Competitors will now only require an OE membership to participate, making it easier than ever to join us in the derby ring. Whether you’re bringing along a young horse, tackling your first derby, or simply looking for a great day of competition without the high costs, this series is designed with you in mind.

We’re committed to creating quality opportunities for riders of all levels while keeping the sport as accessible as possible. We can’t wait to welcome both returning and new competitors to the Hunter Derby Challenge Series this season!
