BLEND - created to support the empowerment of Durham’s Black community through a collaborative, solutions-based approach to the challenges and opportunities being faced. The
primary objective of BLEND is to bring together the various segments of Durham’s Black community in order to celebrate cultural diversity, increase individual and collective opportunities, vocalize widespread challenges and build a vibrant and unified local people.

The Community Safety and Well-being Fund: Building Safer Communities Grants will support not-for-profits, and community groups (including small and emerging groups) to lead violence prevention projects in their communities. These micro-grants will fund projects that reduce violence and support positive youth development. This program is made possible by funding from Public Safety Canada.
