Meet our Coach Mitchell Mercer

Mitchell is a dedicated and versatile dancer from Sussex, New Brunswick, with years of training across a wide range of styles including contemporary, acro, jazz, modern, lyrical, and ballet.

He has competed at a high level, earning numerous awards, scholarships, and overall titles for his performances. As a certified Acrobatic Arts Module 1 instructor, Mitchell brings both technical expertise and a deep passion for teaching.

Committed to growth both on stage and in the studio, he continues to refine his craft while inspiring those around him through his artistry and dedication.

We cannot wait to see the creation Mitchell brings this season!

Ages: 6+ (All levels welcome! Exercises feature multi-level options so every dancer is appropriately challenged)
Pricing: $20 per workshop
Drop-Off Window: 12:30 PM – 12:55 PM (Classes begin promptly at 1:00 PM)

Class Schedule:
✨ 1:00 PM – Technique: Alignment, center control, and across-the-floor progression.
✨ 2:00 PM – Turning: Prep, placement, pirouettes, and turning/jumping combinations.
✨ 3:00 PM – Movement: Soft vs. sharp dynamics, grounding, and weight shifts.

Meet our Coach Alicia Caterini!

Alicia has been dancing for over 12 years and has trained in a variety of styles, with a passion for Hip hop, acro, and jazz, as well as a special love for musical theatre. Her experience as both a dancer and performer has shaped her energetic, positive, and encouraging teaching style.

She is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, develop their skills, and create a lifelong love of dance in a fun and supportive environment.

Outside of the studio, Alicia enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, family, and her cat, Nyla. She’s a self-proclaimed professional napper, loves travelling, listening to country music, and is rarely seen without an energy drink in hand. Alicia is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance and inspiring the next generation of performers!

Join Mitchell this July to focus on expanding your skills, technique, and fluidity! Through this intensive 3-day camp, dancers will work on everything from flexibility and agility to jumps, leaps, holds, tumbling, and expressive floor work. For some summer fun we are going to tie dye some shirts!

Our recreational program is all about exploring movement, building confidence, and having fun in an inclusive, low-pressure environment. Plus, our youth and tot programs wrap up with an exciting in-class showcase during their last class! And a Christmas Showcase for those who register for the second session, so family and friends can celebrate everything they've learned!

A magical introduction to rhythm, gross motor skills, and music through fun props like colourful scarves and rhythm shakers.

Imaginative Explorers (Ages 3 - 5) Storytelling + Expression | 7 Weeks.

Fostering independence and spatial awareness through vivid imagery, weight shifts (heavy elephants vs. light butterflies! 🦋), and simple 8-count phrases.

Date & Times: Saturdays 10:30 - 11:00am
Session 1:September 5th to October 17th

Youth Recreation (Ages 6 - 12) The Dynamic Combo | 7 Weeks.

This expanded group features an ultimate mix! Participants will explore dance (sampling style-specific foundations, footwork, and formations) AND dive into engaging crafts and games 🎨🎲 to build teamwork and spark creativity.

Meet our Assistant Artistic Director: Kaia Knockwood

We are thrilled to spotlight our Assistant Artistic Director, Kaia. A dynamic leader and educator who is spearheading an exciting new chapter for our community.

Kaia brings a powerful blend of professional pedagogical expertise and a lifelong passion for dance excellence to her leadership role. Holding a Bachelor of Education, she seamlessly bridges the worlds of dance technique and instructional theory. Her foundational training is rooted in rigorous British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) syllabus work across ballet and jazz, complemented by a versatile background in contemporary, hip-hop, and modern styles. This deep technical foundation, paired with her experience as the former captain of the Mount Allison Dance Team, underscores her exceptional capability in both choreography and team leadership.

In her role as Assistant Artistic Director, Kaia is currently leading the transformation and launch of our newly rebranded recreational dance program. Under her creative vision, the program is being reimagined to be fresh, high-energy, and completely inclusive. Kaia’s philosophy focuses on breaking down barriers to dance, ensuring that every class is an accessible, welcoming space where students of all levels can connect, build community, and truly discover the joy of movement.
