The CHE is excited to welcome Samuel “Sam” Olson to the roster for the 2026-27 season!

Joining the CHE from Beaumont, Alberta, Sam measures in at a womping 6’6 and brings strong defence that uses his size and physicality to control the ice. Bilingual in English and French — and currently learning German — he brings plenty of personality and a willingness to take on new challenges.

A fan of the Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers, Sam also follows the Anaheim Angels and Golden State Warriors, showing that his love of sports goes well beyond the rink.

Away from hockey, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hiking, ATVing, and camping. He’s also a baseball fan who enjoys playing the game and helping coach his younger brother’s team — a great reflection of his team-first attitude and love of sport.

When he’s relaxing, Sam enjoys Remember the Titans, Cars, Kingsman, and The Simpsons. His playlist has a little bit of everything, ranging from rap and pop to country and rock.

And when game day arrives, Sam fuels up with one of his favourites: chicken alfredo and Caesar salad before getting ready to compete.

The CHE is excited to welcome Dextyn “Dex” Vasseur to the roster for the 2026-27 season!

Joining the CHE from Bonnyville, Alberta, Dextyn brings a competitive mindset, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuing his development both on and off the ice.

A sports fan with a connection to Pittsburgh, Dextyn enjoys staying active and embracing competition wherever he can. Away from the rink, you’ll often find him ATVing, golfing, or working out a combination that keeps him active year-round.

Dextyn’s playlist is all about 2000s rock and rap, giving him plenty of options to get fired up before hitting the ice.

And when game day arrives, Dex keeps his fuel simple with a favourite pre-game meal of chicken and rice before getting ready to compete.

We’re excited to have Dextyn join the CHE family and can’t wait to see the energy and determination he brings to the team this season.

The CHE is excited to welcome Doma Sato to the roster for the 2026-27 season!

Joining the CHE from Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan, Doma brings an international presence and a passion for hockey to the program. Speaking both Japanese and English, he’s ready to embrace a new experience in Canada and continue developing his game.

Doma is a fan of the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Blackhawks, and enjoys following sports across the NHL, soccer, NBA, NFL, and MLB. Away from the rink, you can often find him out on the golf course.

When he’s relaxing, Doma enjoys Spider-Man, Fast & Furious, and plenty of sports programming. His playlist includes artists like Shakira, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber.

And here’s a fun one to remember…Doma’s name means “10,” so naturally, 10 is the number you’ll be seeing him wear on the ice!

When game day arrives, Doma keeps things light with fruit as part of his pre-game routine before getting ready to compete.

The CHE is excited to welcome Quint Myers to the roster for the 2026-27 season!

Joining the CHE from Calgary, Alberta, Quint brings a competitive mindset, strong work ethic, and a drive to keep improving his game. Whether he’s at the rink, in the gym, or taking on something new, he enjoys staying active and challenging himself.

A passionate Calgary Flames fan, Quint also enjoys watching the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers, along with the NFL, UFC, golf, and just about any big playoff matchup. Away from hockey, he enjoys golfing, fishing, camping, working out, ping pong, co****le, ladder golf, and board games.

Quint also brings an entrepreneurial side off the ice, running a lawn care, aeration, and power-raking business with his brother. When it’s time to relax, he enjoys movies and shows like Happy Gilmore, Bad Boys, Quarterback, Faceoff: Inside the NHL, and Naked and Afraid, while his music playlist includes both rap and country.

And when game day rolls around, Quint has a pretty unique pre-game routine — a Tim Hortons four-cheese bagel, Ryan’s donut, and a steeped tea before getting ready to compete.

We’re excited to have Quint join the CHE family and can’t wait to see the energy and personality he brings to the team this season.

Joining the CHE from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Mason brings a strong work ethic, competitive mindset, and a passion for continuing to improve his game. Fluent in English and French, Mason brings plenty of personality and a well-rounded background to the CHE family.

A fan of the Vegas Golden Knights, Mason also enjoys following Formula 1, college football, the NFL, soccer, golf, and college hockey. His favourite teams and athletes include the Ohio State Buckeyes, Minnesota Vikings, Bayern Munich, and Lewis Hamilton.

Away from the rink, Mason enjoys golfing, playing soccer and basketball, and spending time with friends. When he’s relaxing, he enjoys movies and shows like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, Grown Ups, Friends, Superstore, Ted Lasso, and Dexter. His music taste ranges from ’80s hits to rap and country.

When game day arrives, Mason fuels up with one of his favourite pre-game meals: ground beef and pasta before getting ready to compete.
