Did you know that Penticton developed Canadas first ever Dragonboat team for individuals with learning disabilities/cognitive delays? Not only are the Flying Dragons working hard getting ready to race- these dedicated paddlers also volunteer their time at the September festival! Be sure to high five a Flying Dragon as you hop onboard your boat at this years big event 😀

We are 3 weeks away from the 25th annual Penticton Dragonboat Festival! It was a beautiful road trip to Vernon to pick up a boat for the regatta. We are looking forward to welcoming the 80 teams currently registered. Final registration deadline is August 24. There is room for a few more.
We have partnered with OneSky Community Resources to collect donations to assist Summerland families affected by the recent wildfire.

It was a most beautiful evening to get together for some shared time on the water. Nice to be doing something we love, appreciate what we have, and be able to take a moment to feel ‘normal’ again. A much needed “breath of fresh air” away from reality.
