What an absolutely incredible day at our Stafford Party in the Park! The weather couldn't have been more perfect, the park was filled with laughter, smiles, and families making memories, and none of it would have been possible without the amazing support of our community.

🚒 A very special thank you to the Laurentian Valley Fire Department. This amazing group of volunteers puts their lives on the line every day, yet they always find time to give back to our community. From the slip-and-slide and fire truck tours to helping with setup, takedown, and even jumping into the kitchen when needed—you are truly an incredible group of people with even bigger hearts. We appreciate you.

🛍️ To all of our Amazing Vendors... thank you! Although this year's event looked a little different after being rescheduled, you still helped put smiles on everyones faces, and brought that community spirit. Many of you donated wonderful items for our Vendor Basket, including vendors that unfortunately, couldn't make it after we rescheduled our event and we are especially grateful to Little Things Canning Company located downtown Pembroke for generously donating a portion of their proceeds back to Stafford Park.

📺 Thank you to John Butler from YourTV for taking the time to come out, help promote our event, capture photos and video, and share our story with the community. We look forward to watching it on The Hub!

🎨 Thank you to Happy Valley Face Painting for helping put countless smiles on children's faces with your amazing artwork.

⚾ A special thank you to Pembroke Little League for bringing a couple of teams out to play during our event. It was wonderful to see the diamonds full of young athletes, families, and community members enjoying the games throughout the day. The ball games added even more excitement and energy to the park, and we truly appreciate you being part of our celebration!

💛 To every volunteer and committee member... THANK YOU! From setting up early in the morning to cleaning up at the end of the day, working the canteen and barbecue, selling tickets, organizing activities, and doing all the behind-the-scenes jobs that often go unnoticed—you gave your time, energy, and hearts. Everything ran so smoothly because of each and every one of you.

We can't wait to welcome all of our amazing Junior Gardeners tomorrow! 💚
Over the past several weeks, these young gardeners have been watering, caring for, and watching their plants grow, I was even told a few of you were singing to make sure that they grew extra tall and now it's finally time to show off all of their hard work. We are so excited to see every plant and celebrate the dedication each child has put into this year's competition.

No matter how big or small your plant has grown, you should be incredibly proud of what you've accomplished. Gardening is all about learning, growing, and having fun—and we think every participant is already a winner! 🌼

📅 Our new event date is Saturday, July 25 🕙 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

After carefully watching the weather forecast and discussing our options with our committee and Laurentian Valley Township, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule Stafford Party in the Park.
With 20–25 mm of rain expected, we felt it was important to consider the safety and comfort of our community, as well as protect the products and displays that our amazing vendors have worked so hard to prepare.

Everything you were looking forward to will still be happening: 🌭 BBQ & canteen 🛍️ Local vendors 🎟️ 50/50 draw & over 20 raffle baskets 🎈 Bounce castles 🚒 Laurentian Valley Fire Department activities 🌱 Junior Gardeners Competition …and so much more!
We know this may be disappointing, but we truly believe this is the best decision for everyone involved.
