My family's history of Stonehouse (formerly Beaver) Lake, as I know it:
My Mother's Uncle Albert was friends with the doctor who owned the property, and used to come fishing and hunting at the lake with a bunch of other guys. At some point in the late 30's or early 40's the doctor decided he wanted to sell the property, and offered it first to the guys in his hunting and fishing "club". Great Unc
