Now that racing is done I have a few days to explore Thailand. Today I visited Tawaen Beach on Koh Larn Island just off the coast of Pattaya City.
Welcome! This page is to share my journey to Thailand for the World Dragon Boat Championships

A tradition of big dragon boat competitions is trading jerseys with other countries and teams once all the races are done. Here are the trades I made! Australia, Germany, and Macau.

In the final day of racing yesterday we placed 1st in the Women’s 500m resulting in a clean sweep by the u24 Canada Women’s team! We won every single race we raced!
Placed 1st in both Mixed and Women’s 200m yesterday!!!! The mixed race was a very close race and none of us knew if Canada or China had won. As we were paddling back to the docks our coaches announced to us that we won and we celebrated like crazy! We later found out that we only won by 0.014 seconds. Closest race I’ve ever been in.
Here’s the footage of the race!

Placed 2nd in the Mixed 500m yesterday. Lost to China by 0.6s. We beat them in the heat earlier in the day, but they beat us in the final where it counts. 200m day today…last chance to try and beat China.

Ukraine Premier open boat filled with water in the 2km race but they still crossed the finish line. Wow
