We are an active, exciting nordic ski club operating two trails in Grey and Bruce Counties where we teach nordic skiing, host races and hold other events.
The most popular trail is the Sawmill Nordic Centre in Hepworth: groomed for skate and classic styles and now featuring a lit loop. There are also snowshoe trails at Sawmill. The Colpoy's Ski Trail at Colpoy's Bay, Wiarton, is flat for recreational skiing area. We have interesting events and trails with lots of snow for you to ski on. Members have unlimited access to all our trails. The public may purchase day passes at a very reasonable rate.

The PURE GRIT Trail Race is back on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Sawmill Trails in Hepworth! Choose your challenge with distances from 2.5k to 30k, or go all in with the 6-hour race.
⏱ Start Times:
7:30 am – 30k & 6 Hour
8:15 am – 2.5k (12 & under)
9:00 am – 5k, 7.5k & 15k

Sawmill:
Due to upcoming weather forecast we have decided to cease grooming for the
season. We have had over 450 cm of snow and over 120 skiable days. Thanks
for the great season. Enjoy some spring skiing

SPRING SKIING AT ITS FINEST. Some soft spots, some Icy spots, some wet
spots, some bare spots
Open trails were tended with the packer. Enjoy

No trail maintenance today. Trails are icy with a skiff of new snow.
Temperature is rising overnight. Hopefully we can break up ice tomorrow

Cabin opened this am.
Before able to return to try roller rain has started.
If rain stops rolling sweeping run with grizzly will be attempted. If not we will try to get the roller out tomorrow morning.
Will update if rolling completed.
