Thanks to the Ottawa Titans Baseball Club for hosting the OPWHL yesterday evening! ⚾

It was a great night for our players to get out together, enjoy some baseball, and watch the Titans wrap up their regular season with two wins in the doubleheader.

Ending the night with celebratory fireworks made it even better. We really appreciate the Titans welcoming our group and helping make the evening such a positive experience! 🙌

We had a fantastic time and already can’t wait to be back next year! ❤️

After capturing the 2025–2026 OPWHL Championship, each Bears player had the opportunity to spend a week with the Eric Jamieson Memorial Cup and celebrate the title with friends and family.

A well-deserved honour for one of our own. 🏆

Congratulations to #2 Camelon Dolan of the Ottawa Black Aces, recipient of the Sportsmanship Award at this year’s CEWHA National Tournament! 👏♠

We could not be prouder of the way Camelon represents the Black Aces both on and off the court. Camelon is a fantastic teammate, a constant source of positivity, and truly one of the people who helps hold the Black Aces together.

So much of what Camelon brings to the team goes beyond what shows up on the scoresheet. The support shown to teammates, the respect brought to every game, and the positive presence around the team are exactly what this award is meant to recognize. 🫂

Camelon was also the OPWHL’s only recipient of a major tournament award this year, making this recognition especially meaningful for our league. We couldn’t be prouder to have one of our players honoured in this way.

A huge congratulations to Kellen, Malaky, Troy and Robbie on outstanding tournaments and well-earned spots among the top three. Whether it was creating space, finding an open teammate or setting up a crucial goal, each played a major role in driving their team’s offence throughout the weekend. 🔥

Congratulations as well to every athlete who recorded an assist and earned a place on the 2026 leaderboard. The unselfish play, creativity, and chemistry on display throughout Nationals were a huge part of what made the tournament so entertaining from start to finish. 👏🏆

AUGUST 3, 2026 — POWER WHEELCHAIR HOCKEY DAY IN THE CITY OF OTTAWA. ❤️🏒

Before Game 2 of the CEWHA Gold Medal Series between the Calgary Flames and Toronto Lake Raiders, we had the tremendous honour of celebrating a milestone for our sport and our community: the official proclamation of Power Wheelchair Hockey Day in Ottawa.

Presented at centre court were, from left to right, Luke Haymes, recent Calder Cup Champion with the Toronto Marlies and Toronto Maple Leafs player; Yolanda Junco, Assistant Vice-President, Recreation and Athletics at Carleton University; and Suzanne Blanchard, Vice-President (Students and Enrolment) and University Registrar at Carleton University. They were joined by the captains of our two gold medal finalists, Jeff Barrett of the Calgary Flames and Roddey Harb of the Toronto Lake Raiders, for a ceremonial ball drop and photo. 🏆👏

For the OPWHL, this proclamation means far more than a date on the calendar. It recognizes the athletes who compete, the families and volunteers who make our league possible, and the continued growth of a sport that gives people who use power wheelchairs the opportunity to compete, build community and represent their city on the national stage.

To have this recognition presented during a national championship hosted right here in Ottawa made the moment even more special. We are incredibly grateful to the City of Ottawa for this honour and for its continued support of para sport and accessible recreation in our community.

A sincere thank-you as well to Luke, Yolanda and Suzanne for joining us and helping make this moment one that our athletes and league will remember for a very long time.

August 3 is officially Power Wheelchair Hockey Day in Ottawa, and we could not be prouder. ❤️🤍🏒♿
