Saturday's Purple+ class is underway!

Open mat starts at 10:15 and runs until noon.

As always: we welcome any athlete from any academy always.

Making the call: We're closed today (Wednesday March 11) due to the ice storm.

I was hoping the forecast was wrong, but while it looks like it hasn't been as bad so far as it could have been, we're not out of the woods yet. As such, for the safety of our athletes and coaches, we'll be closed today

Saturdays we have our purple+ class from 9 to 10:15am, followed by our increasingly packed open mat until noon.

While most people know our open mats are open to drop-ins by any athlete from any academy, it's worth noting that so are ALL our classes, including our purple+ class.

We invite you to come by and get a fresh look at your game while sharing your skills and tricks with us.

Drop-ins are by donation, 100% of which goes to support our community BJJ academies in the Dominican Republic, helping us share this sport we all love with economically challenged communities.

This past weekend we had the honour and privilege of promoting Marc-André to his well-deserved black belt.

Words don't do justice to how proud and grateful we all are to have Marc as a leader on our team. He has a deep and ever-evolving knowledge of the art, is an impressive athlete and a solid, technical instructor. But more, he's the kind of black belt we should all aspire to be -- a true example on and off the mats.

People like Marc-André aren't just good for the team, they're good for the sport.

Please note that this Saturday, February 21 our open mat will be a closed door event as we promote one of our own to Black Belt. It's a family affair, and we thank you for your understanding :)
