Know a kid who’d love to try a new sport? We’re hosting a FREE Come Try Ringette event + exhibition game on Sunday, August 30, and we’d love your help getting the word out!

If you have friends, neighbours or family with kids ages 4-17, please pass this along. And if you’re on social media, a like or share of our posts to your network or any community/school groups you’re part of goes a long way. We’ve attached our poster - if you or your kiddo wouldn’t mind putting a few up around your community mailbox, rec centres, rinks, or anywhere else in the neighbourhood, we’d greatly appreciate it! We’re aiming for a big turnout, and every share helps.

No experience needed, and it’s free. We’ll have lots of on-ice helpers so every skill level feels welcome, whether your kiddo has skated a hundred times or never laced up before.

Here’s what to expect:

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: on-ice session
11:00 AM: stick around for snacks and an exhibition game!

The West Ottawa Wild are kicking off our 2026-27 season this September, and we’re looking for new players to join the pack! Our program is all about building skating confidence, learning the basics of ringette, and having fun along the way - it’s a judgment-free zone where everyone starts somewhere.

All you need is a helmet, skates and gloves. We’ll take care of the rest - sticks, rings, and plenty of encouragement included!
