There’s a specific kind of anticipation that happens right here, laying out the vests, untangling the ropes, and getting the skis ready.
Here’s what we look for in a solid setup:

💧Vest: You need an impact jacket that fits but doesn't restrict your reach or mobility.
💧Rope: A high-quality, zero-stretch line is non-negotiable for that immediate response and connection to the boat.
💧Ski: Protected and tuned. The right ski tailored to your weight is everything.

Did you know? The sport we all know and love started with just two wooden boards and a clothesline! 🤯

Back in 1922, Ralph Samuelson of Lake City, Minnesota, decided to get creative. He strapped a set of makeshift board skis to his feet, grabbed a clothesline to use as a tow rope, and had a boat pull him along.

He quickly figured out the golden rule we still use today: lean back and keep those ski tips pointed up! That simple adjustment gave him the balance he needed and just like that, the incredible sport of water skiing was born!
