A few hints:

The powder blue and marigold: if you know, you know. One of the most famous liveries in endurance racing history. Not bike racing, though!

The red, green and white: a nod to a team that changed cycling on this side of the Atlantic and pioneered North American professional road racing in Europe. A Canadian rider on this team became the first North American to wear the Tour de France yellow jersey in the 1980s.

The gold, ink, and bone white: a blend of two things. A nod to car racing history (something Hani is quite fond of) and Montu's own brand colour palette.

Khepri is the Egyptian god of the rising sun, creation, rebirth and pushing the day forward. Fitting, for a pro endurance suit designed to carry you through all three disciplines in a triathlon from first light to finish.

The Khepri Pro is our race-day tri suit built for swim-bike-run. A quick-drying aero top flows into a supportive bib-style bottom with a low-profile tri-specific chamois that stays comfortable on the bike and disappears on the run. Super breathable fabric panels so you you overheat on hot race days, and pockets galore (2 on the back, two on the legs) for gels and spares.

Cooler Saturday morning air after the recent scorching days, quiet Ottawa Valley roads, and a coffee stop at the Burnstown Neat Coffee Shop — Katharine and I stole a few hours to just ride today. No emails, no bike builds, no packing orders. Just two people who started a cycling brand together, out doing the thing that started it all.

There's a certain romance to running a small business with someone you love. Sure, there's the stress too...the long days in the shop working on bike builds, the daily apparel order fulfillment, the events and bike shows and endless shared to-do lists. But it's also mornings like this, where the "work" is just rolling side by side down a scenic country road.

(Katharine would want me to mention she also nailed the classic clipped-in, zero-kilometers-per-hour tip-over right after coffee. We've all been there. She's fine, the bike's fine, her pride is recovering 😅)

This is Montu: bikes and endurance apparel with soul. And a whole lot of it comes from the two of us dreaming up what's next for Montu on rides like this.

Time to make room.

Our shop is filling up with 2026 builds and our mid-season frames stock, so some demo and display bikes have to go..and they're going. Two are already spoken for.

Every one is a Montu build that has been used gently (more often than not as a display bike), tuned up, ready to roll out the door. Not cosmetically perfect due to hauling them to and from events and demo rides, but the frames carry our full warranty. Electronic shifting, carbon frames, carbon wheels, hundreds off full prices.

Ian is a friend who came to us looking to retire his trusty 15-year-old steel tourer and hop onto something more modern. So we built him this beauty of a blacked-out Kopis.

Spec list includes Montu Allroad Carbon wheels (32mm inner width), Shimano GRX Di2 2x12, and 50mm Maxxis Rambler tubeless rubber, all in stealth. In his words, it's the kind of bike Darth Vader would ride! 

He swung by on his way back from hiking the Adirondacks to pick it up, and with the weather playing nice, we couldn't resist teaming up for a quick gravel spin. Good roads, good company, and a proper ramble about life, science fiction, and dreams of big rides still to come before Ian continued his journey home. 

From a steel touring bike to the all carbon dark side. Ride it in good health, Ian!

This one was worth the wait. After a winter of planning and a few patient detours around parts availability, Matt's Nui has come together exactly as planned: blacked-out Nui V2, SRAM Force, rolling on our Allroad 50 carbon wheels wrapped in the venerable Conti GP5000.

Matt's the mind behind the growing trail network at (if you are a mountain biker and haven't been there yet, do it!), and when he's not planning and building awesome singletrack he's putting in serious road miles. 

Matt and his family have recently made the move to Peru, and the Nui's already logging the miles along the Pacific coastline. Safe to say this Nui's in for a lot more vert on Peruvian climbs than back in the Ottawa Valley!

Beyond being a great customer, Matt's become a good friend, so seeing him chase new horizons on a Nui is something special. Ride it hard, friend, wherever the road takes you.

Out at 's sole event this year , R3G3, today. The "petit" loop was short in distance, but big on the fun factor.

braved the early, and chilly, hours of the day to ride the brutal 168km "epic" on his Montu Kopis. Fast, as always, with a podium to show for it 👏🏼

Spotted at least 4 Kopis out on course. That never gets old.
