Oshawa Legionaires 16U Elite

Baseball Oshawa is excited to sponsor the Oshawa Generals Charity Softball Game at Kinsmen Civic Memorial Stadium on Thursday night.
Gates open at 6 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
The Oshawa Generals will be playing in a 5-inning game and participate in a home run derby. It should be a great night at the stadium.
Admission is $5 with all proceeds going towards the Traynor Assistance Fund that supports local families purchasing equipment to play baseball!

ONE FAMILY. TWO GREAT GAMES. ONE UNFORGETTABLE DAY.

Today was about more than baseball. It was about what makes our Elite Legionaires program special — family.

Our 16U and 18U Elite Legionaires competed in two games at Kinsmen Stadium coming together with players, coaches and families for a potluck meal between games that was filled with great food, plenty of laughs and team spirit.

⚾ GAME 1 | 18U 8 — 16U 2

The 18U broke the game open with a big seventh inning. Nolan Bannon’s first-inning double put the 16U on the board, while Lucas Worthen threw two scoreless innings with a strikeout and just one hit allowed.

The 16U drew six walks, with Charlie Bovos, Bannon, Brendan Weales and Ayden Ward recording hits. Bovos also stole two bases.

⚾ GAME 2 | 16U 7 — 18U 5

The 16U answered back with a seventh-inning rally. Peter Grace delivered a two-run single, followed by Braydon Teichberg’s RBI double to make it 7-5.

Cody McCormick and Ayden Ward had two hits each, while Teichberg, Bannon, Bentley Lockhart, Reilly Froats and Grace drove in runs. Logan Burns started, with Milo Wand, Connor Wynistorf and Tyson Smith combining for scoreless relief.

But the biggest win of the day was seeing both teams, coaches and families come together — competing, supporting one another, sharing a meal and building something bigger than baseball.

Two teams. One Legionaires family!

Fall Ball officially gets underway with a little soft launch today as the boys take on our friends from the 18U Elite Legionaires in a couple of friendlies to close out August.

Time to put in the work. 🔥
