Fellow lure painters. Maybe you all already know about this, but this is the best product I have ever found to mask the bills on most lures. It's tree grafting tape, basically a very strong cling wrap that comes in 3/4" and 1" widths. It has amazing cling, is strong enough to wrap tightly without tearing and leaves a very clean edge. Available on Amazon.

Comment if you've tried this or have a better suggestion. I hope this tip helps you make a tedious job a little quicker and easier. Never stop learning!

Had a great day out on Lake Ontario with a great group of guys.
It was pretty rough out there and we weren't able to get a full day in but we got one good fish. A Van Dutch spoon in Ultra Glow was the ticket.

It's been a couple years since I was able to get out for salmon and it was a great feeling to reel in a solid fish. Tipped the scale at 22lbs.

Thanks to my buddy Dave for bringing us out on his boat! A great time had by all even if the boat ride back was a little sketchy when the wind picked up.

I love painting and fishing Ripplin Redfin's. I think they are one of the best baits ever produced. Recently I obtained these vintage Ripplin Redfin's in some awesome patterns. They will be staying in the collection.
Can anyone tell me what era these are from?

On our vacation last week our oldest son caught his first ever walleye and it was quite a fish. Just shy of 28". Fish was released to hopefully produce more.
What made it extra special was catching it on a lure his dad painted. Our patterns catch fish on all kinds of different lakes, from Erie to small lakes in central Ontario, Atomic Wonder Bread has been a hot pattern this year.
