MORE THAN A BILLET HOUSE. THIS IS HOME. 🏒
As we prepare to welcome athletes from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Denmark, Germany, the United States and across Canada, one of our Orangeville Blitz billet houses are coming together.
For many of these young men, coming to Orangeville means leaving their families, friends and everything familiar to them. Some of our Athletes are travelling thousands of kilometres to chase their hockey dreams!
So when they arrive, we want them to know one thing:
You have a home here.
We believe treating athletes like professionals goes far beyond what happens at the rink.
It means making sure they have a comfortable bed to sleep in.
A kitchen where they know they’ll be well-fed.
A place to study and prepare for exams.
A place to recover after a tough practice or game.
A place to sit with their teammates, laugh, relax and collect their thoughts.
And most importantly, a place where they feel safe, respected, comfortable and at home.
This is the standard we are building with the Orangeville Blitz.
“If you’re trusting us with your son from halfway around the world, we take that responsibility seriously. These athletes aren’t simply coming here to play hockey. They’re coming here to make Orangeville and Dufferin County their home. So, while they’re here, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure it feels like one.” Marco Alexander, Owner
Welcome home, boys. 🏠🏒

WELCOME TO ORANGEVILLE, KONSTANTIN! 🇨🇦🇷🇺
The Orangeville Blitz are proud to officially welcome Konstantin Parkhomchuk to Orangeville!
Coming to us from Russia, Konstantin is an extremely gifted 6’2”, 195-pound, right-shot defenceman who enters his second season in Canada with high expectations.
After a strong first year in Canadian junior hockey, Konstantin has attracted significant attention because of the tools and upside he possesses. He brings size, mobility, skill, physicality and a competitive edge from the back end, the type of combination organizations look for when projecting defencemen to the next level.
This season is about taking another major step. With his frame, ability and tenacity, Konstantin has the potential to be a difference-maker every time he steps on the ice and establish himself as a player to watch.
Orangeville Blitz Owner Mark Alexander on Konstantin:
“After speaking with Konstantin, one of the first things that stood out to me was the young man behind the hockey player. He’s a gentle giant, big frame, quiet personality, but when it comes to hockey, he’s all business. He’s sharp, extremely respectful and carries himself the right way.
“From a hockey standpoint, the upside is tremendous. He has so many of the attributes people look for in a defenceman at the professional level. Our job now is to put him into our professional development environment, surround him with the right people and help him take that next step.
“Coming from Russia and now entering his second season in Canada, we also want Orangeville to feel like home. From his billet family to our dressing room and our entire organization, he’s going to experience what it means to be part of this program. We’re extremely excited to welcome Konstantin to the Blitz family and to Orangeville.”
Welcome to Orangeville, Konstantin 👊

WELCOME TO ORANGEVILLE, SAMMY 👊🇨🇦🇵🇱
The Orangeville Blitz are proud to welcome Samuel Plinta, a goaltender from Poland, to Orangeville for the 2026–27 season!
After making the move to Canada for the first time last season and putting together a strong year, Sammy returns bigger, faster, stronger and more prepared. He has spent his summer back home in Poland working diligently on his game, and we believe he is ready to take another major step in his development.
But this signing represents much more than hockey.
Samuel will be one of the first players to take part in the Orangeville Blitz Billet House Program, something we believe can become an important part of what it means to play for the Blitz.
For a young man coming thousands of kilometres from Poland, Orangeville isn’t simply going to be the town where he plays hockey. We want Orangeville to become his home away from home.
Our billet program is designed to develop more than hockey players. When Sammy isn’t at the rink, training or preparing for games, we want him involved in the community, visiting local schools, helping with minor hockey, attending community events and supporting local organizations and causes wherever he can.
“We want our players to understand that wearing the Blitz logo comes with a responsibility. Be present. Give back. Be someone young players can look up to. Sammy is a great young man and we have total confidence he will be accepted in our community!” Owner, Marco Alexander

The Orangeville Blitz are proud to officially welcome Nicholas Nicoletti to Orangeville.
“Nicholas is a huge addition to our team, especially coming in as an experienced Overager this season. When we talk about the type of player and person we want representing the Orangeville Blitz, Nicholas is exactly what we’re looking for.
He brings leadership, compete and an incredible work ethic. What stands out to me is that it isn’t just what he does during games. It’s how he practices, how hard he works away from the rink, and the attention he pays to the little details that ultimately separate good players from great ones.
Nicholas has all the tools to take his game to the professional level, and we expect big things from him this season. He models his game after Brad Marchand relentless, competitive, a pest to play against, and a guy who simply doesn’t stop. That’s the kind of player you want wearing your jersey and the kind of player other teams hate playing against.
We’re extremely excited to have Nicholas on board and to see what he can accomplish here in Orangeville. Congratulations to Nicholas and his family on the signing. We believe he has a very bright future ahead of him.” Owner, Marco Alexander
Welcome to Orangeville, Nico 👊

* F Shane Kaplan
* F Nicholas Nicoletti
* F Isaac Locker
* D Konstantin Parkhomchuk
* D Matvey Morozov
* G Samuel Plinta
This is a major step in building the identity of the Orangeville Blitz Jr A. program.
“This was not an easy task. A lot of time and energy has gone into building this team and interviewing each player to make sure they understood the compete level, commitment and accountability that it takes to build a winning culture. Just as equally important is the staple we are in this community and the outreach throughout our town. Each individual player brings experience, leadership, toughness and a willingness to compete, all of which are important pieces of what we are building here in Orangeville.” Marco Alexander, Owner.
“Our goal isn’t simply to put a team on the ice. We’re building a professional-style Junior A program, centred around development, opportunity, character and winning. Every player who puts on a Blitz jersey needs to understand what that crest represents and the standard that comes with it. We believe this group will play an integral role in establishing those pillars from Day 1.” Terry Shepperd, GM.
We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these young men to Orangeville. 👏👏

🚨 HISTORIC SIGNING 🚨
The Orangeville Blitz are proud to announce the first player signing in franchise history with the addition of Diego Da Silva ().
Known by thousands across the hockey world through , Diego has earned every opportunity through determination and hard work. Dubbed the “AA to OHL” kid, Diego’s journey is proof that there is no single path to success. After an impressive training camp, he earned an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Erie Otters, showing that dedication and perseverance open doors.
Now entering his overage season, Diego has chosen Orangeville to continue preparing for the professional ranks.
More than just adding a talented player, we’re adding a leader, a role model, and someone who shares our vision of building a first-class junior hockey program.
“After talking to Marco and the development staff, hearing more about Tyler Randell’s journey to the NHL with the Boston Bruins; Ben Thomson’s path to the New Jersey Devils, both local Orangeville players and role models, I knew this was a program I wanted to be part of,” said Da Silva.
“As an overage player, I’m looking for more than just ice time. I wanted a true pro-style environment that focuses on developing the complete player. The off-ice training, the mentality side of the game, and learning from people who’ve been there really stood out to me. Having Ben Fanelli, another Kitchener Ranger’s great, his company Heroic Minds and them being involved with the program was another huge reason I felt Orangeville was the right place for me. I believe this program will help prepare me for the next step in my career and my transition to pro hockey.”
Welcome to Orangeville, Diego 👊
