Introducing your 2026–27 Spartans Board.

Jennifer works in Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University, where she supports students in experiential education. Jenn will be part of the communications team.

Michael Dupelle - Serves as the Web and Marketing Specialist for the North Bay Spartans.

Stacy Gallagher - I am looking forward to working with the Spartans again in helping with raising the level of basketball within our city!! See you all on the court!

Justin Haight - Justin is looking to help develop the club by providing coaching templates, documents and club procedures.

Yolanda Haight has served as Treasurer for the North Bay Spartans since 2022 and brings more than 20 years of accounting and business operations experience to the organization.

Tori Hunter - has been coaching with the Spartans and school community since 2012. My biggest passion is youth basketball in the North.

Gen Kmith - will serve as lead team manager and equipment manager. and be I am a lifelong basketball fan who spent my youth training and competing as a basketball player in Nova Scotia.

Kally Levac - A lifelong athlete with a passion for basketball, Kally is proud to serve as Registrar for our Board of Directors.

Sam Levac - Serving as President of our Board of Directors, he is committed to strengthening our basketball community and creating opportunities for players and families to thrive.

Kayla Tweten is a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion for the youth in our community, with a background in healthcare and direct person-centred support. Kayla will serve as secretary.

Rachel Van Woezik is the Head Coach of the Nipissing University Lakers Women’s Basketball team and has spent her career using sport to develop leaders both on and off the court. Rachel will serve as a basketball advisor.

🚨 🏀The OSDP North Team beat the OSDP Toronto team in pool play today in a nail bitter by 5 points to improved to 3-1, advancing to the semifinals tomorrow! The tournament started with 10 teams and only 4 teams remain.

Six (6) players from the OSDP North Team are representing the North Bay Spartans Club (U14 Boys NB Spartans) at the Ontario Summer Games!

Congrats to the following Spartans: Bob, Darcy, Declan, Hendrix, Liam, and Preston. All three coaches are from North Bay!
Coaches: Sean Madigan, Jack Hagerty; and Seamus Gagne.

Also joining the North squad are Bennett, Draydon, Hutton, Kellen, Nick and Zephy.

What a successful night of basketball for these young athletes. Our Future Spartans girls clinic happened earlier this week with so many happy faces on the court. Thank you to the Nipissing Women’s Basketball team and coaching staff, West Nipissing Basketball, Summer Hoop Camp, our U17 girls and our U15 girls for helping make this event possible. Here’s to the future of Spartans Basketball!

🚨 U19 Men’s team won DIVISION 1 BRONZE MEDAL 🥉 this past weekend in Ottawa! This is the best finish for a U19 Men’s team in Spartans history!! Congratulations on a great season!
