FANFARE Regatta, 12-13 September 2026 - FAntastic Nepean FAll REgatta (FANFARE) Registration is open for the Nepean Sailing Club’s signature FANtastic FAll REgatta, FANFARE, Sept. 9-10, for the following fleets: Martins, 2.4s, 505s, Albacores, Fireballs, 420s and Open Catamarans.

The second edition of the Muriel How Memorial Regatta will take place on September 26–27 at the Gatineau River Yacht Club!

Club boats will be available to club members and sailing school participants.

🚤 La flotte du CVRG continue de se renouveler!

Le CVRG poursuit le remplacement de ses bateaux de sécurité. Aujourd’hui, un nouveau membre s’est joint à la flotte : Papa Brig, un Brig Falcon 500 acheté usagé dans la baie Georgienne. Il prendra la relève de l’un de nos bateaux de pêche et nous permettra de continuer à assurer la sécurité de nos jeunes et de nos moniteurs sur l’eau.

Un immense merci à Guillaume et Julie, qui ont fait l’aller-retour hier pour nous livrer le bateau! 🙌

🚤 The CVRG fleet continues to grow and renew!

The CVRG is continuing its safety-boat replacement program. Today, a new member joined the fleet: Papa Brig, a used Brig Falcon 500 purchased in Georgian Bay. It will replace one of our fishing boats and help us continue providing a safe environment for our sailors and instructors on the water.

A huge thank you to Guillaume and Julie, who made the round trip yesterday to bring the boat home! 🙌

🇫🇷 J4 du CORK Youthfest — c’est terminé! ⛵️

La 4e et dernière journée aura été marquée par des vents très légers, rendant les conditions particulièrement difficiles, tant techniquement que tactiquement.

Gemma n’aura peut-être pas réussi à conserver sa 4e place au classement général, terminant finalement 6e, mais c’est tout de même un excellent résultat! Et surtout, elle conserve la 1re place au classement féminin des ILCA 4! 🥇

Quelle prouesse! Bravo Gemma! 👏🔥

🇬🇧 Day 4 of CORK Youthfest — and that’s a wrap! ⛵️

The fourth and final day brought very light winds, making for challenging conditions both technically and tactically.

Gemma may not have been able to hold on to 4th overall, finishing 6th, but that’s still an excellent result! And most importantly, she holds on to 1st place in the ILCA 4 women’s standings! 🥇

What an achievement! Way to go, Gemma! 👏🔥

🇫🇷 Jour 3 au CORK Youthfest ⛵️

La météo orageuse a limité le comité de course à un seul départ pour les ILCA 4 aujourd’hui. Mais quelle course pour Gemma! 🏆

Avec une 2e place dans sa 7e course de la régate, elle grimpe au 4e rang du classement général. Elle prend aussi la 1re place chez les filles et chez les Québécois!

🔥 Quelle performance!

Demain, dernière journée du Youthfest. Le podium est peut-être hors de portée, mais Gemma est en excellente position pour conserver sa 4e place, avec 8 points d’avance sur la 5e. Une course à la fois, concentration maximale… c’est à sa portée!

Quoi qu’il arrive, le CVRG et les River Rats sont fiers de toi, Gemma! 💙

🇬🇧 Day 3 at CORK Youthfest ⛵️

Stormy weather limited the ILCA 4 fleet to just one race today. But what a race it was for Gemma! 🏆

With a 2nd-place finish in her 7th race of the regatta, she moves up to 4th overall. She’s also sitting 1st among the girls and 1st among the Quebec sailors!

🔥 What a performance!

Tomorrow is the final day of Youthfest. The podium may be out of reach, but Gemma is in an excellent position to hold on to 4th, with an 8-point cushion over 5th place. Stay focused, take it one race at a time… it’s within reach!

Whatever happens, GRYC and the River Rats are proud of you, Gemma! 💙

🇫🇷 Dernière journée du camp de voile pour la saison 2026! ⛵️

Au fil de l’été, nos huit instructeurs ont accueilli 84 enfants pour leur faire découvrir la voile et leur apprendre à profiter en toute sécurité des plaisirs de la rivière Gatineau.

Ce soir, place au traditionnel banquet, cette année sous le thème médiéval! Carl Borg, Gillian, Vincent, Aliya, Gabe, Madison, Gaël et Dmitriy ont travaillé d’arrache-pied pour offrir aux jeunes une dernière soirée de plaisir sur l’île, digne des banquets du petit village des irréductibles Gaulois. 🍗🍻

Merci à tous nos jeunes marins, à nos instructeurs et à tous ceux qui ont contribué à faire de cette saison un succès. ❤️

🇬🇧 The final day of sailing camp for the 2026 season! ⛵️

Throughout the summer, our eight instructors welcomed 84 kids, introducing them to sailing and teaching them how to safely enjoy the pleasures of the Gatineau River.

Tonight, it’s time for the traditional end-of-season feast, with a medieval theme this year! Carl Borg, Gillian, Vincent, Aliya, Gabe, Madison, Gaël and Dmitriy have worked hard to give our young sailors one last evening of fun on the island — a feast worthy of the legendary village banquet where every great adventure ends. 🍗🍻

Thank you to all our young sailors, instructors and everyone who helped make this season such a success. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome you back next summer !
