I used to think being a strong woman meant being called “difficult.”
I’ve since learned the real work isn’t proving that label wrong. It’s not allowing it to have power over me at all.
When it comes to being a strong woman, there’s no right or wrong — there’s grounded or not.
Grounded means I make the call because it’s right, not because I’m fighting or fleeing a narrative that kept women small.
I’ve shrunk a good instinct before, just to avoid being called “too much.” What I know now: from a grounded place, my instincts can be trusted — and playing big is allowed. 💫

I’ve come to realize that the Goals I set for myself or not the point, they’re simply evidence.
I’m training to hike “some” of the Portugal coast Camino trail . It’s got me walking and biking many evenings now. Going to physio, to work through stiffness in my ankle I might never have noticed otherwise.

The goal itself isn’t what’s driving any of this. It’s not even what is motivating on its own.
What actually moves me is a clearer question underneath it: who do I want to be? Someone fit and healthy enough to enjoy the next chapter of life, present to take in the experience. The warm air, the sunsets . A deer that I connect eyes with along the way as we both realize neither of us are a threat.
It can be easy to miss when you’re chasing a number or a finish line — the simple moments that bring a different kind of fullness to life.
For a long time my goal was to be the best mom I could be for my kids. So they could know they are enough and trust in who they are becoming.. now that they’re older. I see thus is their journey now and I am in the background— trusting that the work is done, and that it’s okay for me to look toward what’s next instead of holding on.
The Camino is what’s filling that space for now. But really it’s just the current evidence of the same question I’ve been asking all along: who do I want to be in this life? The goal isn’t the source. It’s the proof. Decide who I want to be, and the actions that get me there stop feeling like discipline and start feeling like just… living in line with myself.
Completing my plans for the Camino will happen or it won’t. But the walking, the physio, noticing what is there in the moment — that’s already working.
And so for me the true measure of success is not whether I complete the hike it is whether I showed up for the journey

Geez, it’s the spring Equinox! I almost missed it! Yet I felt it..💫

The air was different, bitds sang their songs, the was sun warmer, the outdoors was waking up.

Maybe winter carried some weight for you too. A doubt circling. A pattern that pulled you back. A story about what’s possible — and what isn’t.

There was no need to fight what was hard. No need to be finished healing before growing. Only meet it all with compassion — acknowledge it, connect into it, listen to what is needed and nurture.

Presence isn’t out of reach….. It’s already here. In the warmth of the sun , the breath that settles a little deeper. In noticing feet on the ground supported for what comes next

What a night to remember! ✨
On International Women’s Day, I was surrounded by incredible women at the Women + Wealth Gala — and yes, we were absolutely killing it and too hot to handle 😄🔥
But beyond the fun and the photo booth moments, this day was a reminder of how far we’ve come — and how much further we get to go together.
Over the year women have been carving out space in boardrooms, in communities, in conversations that once weren’t meant for us. And every time one of us rises, my hope is we reach back and pull the next woman up with us.
That’s the energy I want to carry forward — courage over comfort. Collaboration over competition. Expansion over limitation.

Speaking of this, I learned beautiful non-profit organization at the event mamas for mamas . It was created to help fill the gap for many families that struggle day after day. This organization is for caregivers and children, providing resources and assistance to families all over southern Alberta. A place where mamas and caregivers are able to share donate and trade items without monetary compensation, check them out here www.mamasformamas.org

Here’s to what’s next for women and raising big — together. 💪❤️

There’s a tree that I walk by regularly it looks pretty rough all winter. Just bare branches. Nothing going on.
But I noticed this week the buds are starting to show up. Small and quiet, but they’re there.
My daughter has a name for this time of year in Calgary — she calls it “Springer.” That stretch where spring keeps trying but winter won’t quite let go. We’ll probably get snow again next week. The buds don’t seem to care much.
I’ve been sitting with that.
The tree doesn’t skip the hard months. It goes bare, stays bare, and just… waits. Not fighting it. Not pretending everything’s fine. Just letting the season be what it is until it’s ready to be something else.
I think there’s something honest in that. The new growth doesn’t come from rushing past the loss — it comes after you’ve actually let yourself feel it. Sat with it. Stopped trying to make it look better than it is.
The evenings are staying lighter now. The buds are there if you look close enough.
New things are possible. But usually only after we’ve been willing to let the old things go.
What are you ready to let go of this spring? 🌿

🌟 Shift Your Perspective, uncover possibilities! 🌟

I’ve learned that the key to unlocking potential often lies in the way I view challenges. When I take a step back from my usual thoughts and get curious about them from different angles, new possibilities are uncovered

🔍 Have you ever found yourself stuck in a familiar thought pattern? Here are a few tips to help you shift your perspective:

1. **Pause and Breathe**: Take a moment to breathe deeply and center yourself. This helps create space for new insights.

2. **Ask “What If?”**: Challenge your current thoughts by asking, “What if I looked at this differently?” This simple question can spark creativity and solutions you hadn’t considered.

3. **Seek Feedback**: Share your thoughts with trusted friends or mentors. They might offer a perspective that illuminates the path forward.

4. **Embrace Curiosity**: Approach your thoughts with curiosity rather than judgment. Explore what is behind them and consider what is thelearning.

5. **Practice Gratitude**: Reflect on what you appreciate. Gratitude can shift your mindset and reveal new opportunities.

Seeing possibilities within the stuckness begins with a shift in perspective, this can lead to new momentum and direction! 🌈✨

🌊✨ **Be Where my Feet Are: by the River** ✨🌊

I often need to remind myself to stay present, to be where my feet are. I easily find myself swept away in wishes and the future, losing sight of this moment.

My practice to return and be where my feet are, is to visit the river, listen to the gurgling water watch its constant movement. Feel the cool breeze against my skin, hear the birds songs and watch how the water dances over stones. Each sensation anchors me in the now and I see what is right in front of me

Life can be so full in this pause.
What do you notice around you when you pause and be where your feet are?🌟💚

🌿✨ There’s something magical about being in nature that truly fills my soul. I often find myself stepping outside to take in the beauty around me. Whether it’s the sound of the birds singing or the warmth of the sun on my skin, these moments remind me to slow down and appreciate life.

Nature has a way of grounding me and bringing me back to the present moment. It’s in these simple moments that I feel alive and connected to everything around me.

Today, I invite you to take a little time for yourself. Step outside, breathe deeply, and soak in the beauty that’s right there waiting for you. How does nature inspire and enliven you?

🌷✨ **Easter Thoughts: Letting Go to Move Forward** ✨🌷

As we celebrate Easter, a time for new beginnings, I want to chat about something important: the power of letting go. 🕊️

Letting go can sometimes seem easy, but it often takes a lot of work. It’s about processing our feelings and honoring our grief. When we take the time to really feel what we’ve been through, we create room for healing and open ourselves up to new possibilities. 🌈

This Easter, think about what you might need to let go of in order to move forward toward your goals. It’s not just about leaving the past behind; it’s also about making space for the exciting opportunities that are waiting for you. 🌟

I’d love to hear your thoughts! What are you ready to release this spring? Let’s support each other on this journey. 💪💖
