What a great start to our Wednesday morning downtown Oakville. Beginning the day with Starbucks, a walk along the water, some dancing in the cabana, and some social circle games that were pretty hilarious. Back to the studio mid day for some more tech and combos! 💕💕🫶🏻🫶🏻

Happy 14th Birthday to one of the main faces of The Core Dance Co., our very own Nora, my sweet daughter 💛

If you’ve spent any time at the studio, you’ve probably seen her making the younger dancers laugh, cheering someone on, or being unapologetically herself. She’s the kind of leader who leads with kindness, includes everyone, isn’t afraid to be a little goofy, and reminds us that dance should always be filled with joy.

Nora, thank you for helping create the welcoming, supportive culture that makes The Core so special. We hope 14 brings you endless laughter, incredible memories, and all the happiness you deserve. We can’t wait to watch you continue to grow this season.

Thinking about dance this fall? Not sure if your child will love it or not?

August is the perfect time to try it out! Our Summer Dance Program runs from throughout August and gives dancers the chance to experience classes in a fun, low-pressure environment before committing to a full season. Classes are a very affordable $20 for the month, with dancers attending their selected classes once per week at their chosen class times. We do this every Summer and it’s always a great way to discover new styles, meet friends, and step into September feeling confident and ready to dance rather than being unsure! ✨

First class kicks off after the long weekend (Tuesday Aug 4th)!

BEYOND PROUD! It was an incredible couple days with Zoey, Holly, Nora and Reina at Inspire Nationals. What a cool experience for them, and in our studios FIRST YEAR of being a new company - way to go team!

All of you did exactly as you said you’d do - gave it your all and delivered stellar performances 💕

Big hugs to all and congratulations to Nora and Reina for making it into the Quarter Finals!! What a super fun moment that was when we found out about that 🙈🙈🥹🥹

Dance from the core!

Every year I photograph all of our dancers, but every once in a while there’s a piece that completely grabs hold of my heart.

This was one of those pieces.

Reina’s solo, Supermarket Flowers, was dedicated to her grandmother, and from the very first rehearsal we knew it was going to be something special. We spent months talking about the story, the emotions behind it, and how to honour someone so loved through movement.

When I sat down to edit these photos, I found myself taking a little extra time with them because I wanted them to feel exactly the way the dance felt.

Gentle. Beautiful. Emotional.

I’m so proud of this dancer and the courage she showed all season telling a story that meant so much to her. 🤍

Once upon a time, a group of tiny princesses tiptoed into the studio… and completely stole our hearts. ✨

From twirls and giggles to new friendships and growing confidence, these little dancers reminded us that the magic of dance isn’t about perfect steps—it’s about joy, imagination, and believing in yourself. 💛

Watching them light up the stage this season has been pure magic. We are so proud of our Tutus & Tiaras princesses! 🌟👑
