Embrace the magic within you.

There is a quiet wisdom that lives within each of us. It's a place of strength, intuition, creativity and deep connection.

And through our yoga practice, we are invited to turn inward, to listen more closely and to remember the beauty of who we truly are beneath the layers of expectation, busyness and doubt.

May you honour your unique light, trust your inner wisdom and move through life with an open heart.

Embrace the magic within you.

Last weekend, I had the privilege of watching more than 2,000 men and women of all ages take on the incredible challenge of completing an Ironman.

Among them was this guy right here, Cody.

The preparation leading up to an event like this is just as important as race day. Keeping the body strong, mobile and flexible plays a key role in both performance and injury prevention.

Watching Cody include Revolved Extended Side Angle (Parivrtta Parsvakonasana) as part of his warm-up before heading into the lake for his 1.9 km swim was a great reminder that yoga is for everyone.

This posture opens the hips, lengthens the side body, improves thoracic rotation, and engages the core which all contribute to a more efficient freestyle stroke and smoother, more comfortable breathing in the water.

Whether your goal is peak performance or simply moving well for years to come, yoga is a powerful practice for building strength, mobility and longevity.

Congratulations to Cody and to all of the Ironman athletes on an incredible achievement!

Facing the East, where the sun rises and light is born, we give thanks for this Summer Solstice. May the longest day remind us to welcome new beginnings, bring warmth to our hearts and gratitude for the beauty of this season.

In a world full of noise and distractions, meditation offers a moment of stillness.

Here are some reasons why meditation can be powerful.

Today, notice how it feels to create space across your collarbones, your ribs and your heart.

Allowing each inhale to fill that space with light.

Letting each exhale release what you have been carrying.

The way we open ourselves on the mat often becomes the way we meet the world.

Time is the only currency we spend without ever knowing our balance.
~Chris Bharnes

This quote reminds us to be intentional with how we care for ourselves.

To slow down without guilt.
To rest when our body asks for it.
To move our body because it deserves care.
To say no when we need to.
To stop waiting for exhaustion before choosing ourselves.

Our own well-being matters because one day, we will realize that the small moments of self-care weren’t indulgent, they were necessary.

Welcome Yin Yoga to the schedule.

Join Liz for a quiet, grounding practice where we stay in poses for time, allowing the body to soften slowly.

In Yin, we let gravity do the work by keeping the muscles relaxed, exploring sensation without pain and creating space for stillness, release and reset.

Come slow down every with Thursday at 7pm with .soulfulyoga

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes.
Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow.
Let reality be reality.
Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.
~ Lao Tzu

May's newsletter, Flow with Change, has dropped. If you would like a copy, let me know in the comments.

For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.
~Carl Sagan

This profound quote reminds us that it is our love of others, life, beauty as well as our curiosity that gives that vastness meaning and anchors us in a universe that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
