The Simpson’s Sluggers Red Sox had a fantastic season, growing as a team with each and every player improving greatly. Starting the season with a number of rookie players and a few veterans, they worked hard culminating in making it to the finals. They came up just short in the gold medal game, clawing back from an early deficit. In winning the silver medal the boys all showed their grit, hustle and determination.

13U AAA Oakville A’s | 2026 National Championships 🇨🇦⚾

The 13U AAA Oakville A’s are going to Nationals!

Oakville will be representing Ontario 2 at the 2026 National Championships after earning their spot through the National Qualifiers in an incredible tournament run.

Oakville delivered when it mattered most, defeating:

East York: 4–2
Etobicoke: 11–6
Vaughan: 7–4
Leaside: 15–5

After a hard-fought loss to Clarington, the boys faced one final winner-take-all game against Vaughan, with a National Championship berth on the line.

What followed was one of the most exciting games of the season.

Oakville battled through a dramatic 12–11 victory, punching their ticket to the 2026 National Championships in Woodstock.

An Historic Achievement:
With the victory, the 13U AAA Kniginyzky team became only the second team in Baseball Oakville history to qualify for the National Championships.

It is an incredible accomplishment for the players, coaches, families, and everyone who has supported this group throughout the season.

The team will now represent Oakville and Baseball Ontario as Ontario 2, competing against provincial teams from across Canada:

Newfoundland • Nova Scotia • PEI • New Brunswick • Quebec (2) • Alberta • British Columbia (2) and Ontario

Congratulations to Head Coach Matt Kniginyzky and his coaching staff, along with every player and family who helped make this historic achievement possible.

The entire Baseball Oakville family will be behind you as you take on the best teams from across Canada.

Congratulations to 11U AAA coach Jeff Kurys on being selected to coach the 11U COBA All-Star team at the Bob Humphries Memorial All-Star Tournament in London this September!
