Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole Championship golf course. Clubhouse open year round. Open to the public.

In 2000, Tiger Woods hit the shot of the year out of a fairway bunker on the 72nd hole of the Canadian Open to win by a single stroke. The first-ever solo design of the legendary Jack Nicklaus created more history in 2009 as the site of a record 25th RBC Canadian Open, a PGA Tour event, during the 100th playing of Canada's national championship. At the 11th tee, you’ll find one of Glen Abbey’s most unique landmarks, a plaque commemorating one of the most unforgettable drives in Canadian golf.

During the 1994 Canadian Open Pro-Am, John Daly unleashed a 390-yard drive from the 11th tee that ended in Sixteen Mile Creek. The plaque reads:
“In the 1994 Canadian Open Pro-Am, John Daly drove his ball into 16 Mile Creek from this tee. Total distance: 390 yards.

Good luck and please enjoy one of the most famous tee shots in Canadian golf.”

A reminder that even one of the longest hitters in golf history couldn’t quite keep his drive dry on Glen Abbey’s legendary Valley Holes.

The Valley Holes at Glen Abbey Golf Club, holes 11 through 15, are among the most iconic stretches in Canadian golf. The journey begins at the par-4 11th, where players step onto the tee and face a 150-foot elevation drop into the valley below. The challenge continues through the par-3 12th, the risk-reward par-5 13th, the demanding par-4 14th, and the picturesque par-3 15th. Throughout the stretch, Sixteen Mile Creek comes into play on every hole, weaving through the valley and testing players' precision, strategy, and nerve before they make the climb back to the plateau at the 16th tee. It is a spectacular sequence of holes that has challenged the world's best, thrilled spectators for decades, and become one of Glen Abbey's defining features.

Before Nick Taylor's historic victory in 2023, the closest a Canadian came to ending the 69-year drought was Mike Weir at Glen Abbey Golf Club in 2004. In the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Open, Weir carried the hopes of a nation and battled into a playoff with Vijay Singh before ultimately falling short. Though victory eluded him, his memorable performance at Glen Abbey remains one of the championship's defining moments.
