Curling on television (in Canada at least) is going to sound a lot different in the 2026-2027 season.

We knew after the last Men's Worlds that Vic Rauter has called it a career, and a new voice will be calling the Season of Champions. We found out a few weeks ago that Kevin Martin will not return to the booth with the GSOC.

Now, after a 51-year broadcasting career, which included the GSOC for quite some time, Rob Faulds has signed off.

Curling Canada wishes Vic Rauter the very best in his future, with his retirement from TSN announced today. 🎙️

We all have mixed emotions — we’re sad that he won’t be around to “make the final” after this season, but we are happy for him as he moves into retirement after a brilliant, iconic career. He has been the voice of curling in Canada and around the world for more than 40 years, and it has been a privilege to be a part of it with Vic and the entire TSN team.

Thank you, Vic, for everything you have done for our sport!
