Our annual men’s 18-hole scramble brought 31 men out this morning for a round of golf followed by a delicious lunch.

Low Team Score - two teams were tied at 8 under par. Winning team with a birdie on Hole 9 was Bernard, Larry, Bob, and Earl.
Honourable mention to the second team at 8 under: Jim, Paul, and Steve

Today’s lunch was provided by our favourite caterer, Alison Dunbar-Bowins, and the menu was a hit! Everyone raved about today’s lunch of cream of potato soup, pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans with bacon, mac and cheese, and a pumpkin carrot cake with caramel sauce and whipped cream. Alison, you outdid yourself again. Thank you so much!

And thanks your team, Jorja Keeler, Logan Surgeoner, and Kim Hodgkinson for looking after things today! You girls are the best!

Thanks to this wonderful group of women who attended our final women’s monthly social for this season! It was a cool morning to start but the sun came out and a great time was had by all. Today’s competition format was “Low Putts” and our winning team came in at just 5 putts for 9 holes - wowza. Congratulations to Bev, Debbie, Joyce & Karen. The longest drive winner was Joyce P, and closest to the pin was won by Shirley Mc.

Another great night for our weekly men’s night. Tonight we changed things up a little and awarded prizes on 4 holes plus an individual 3-hole stroke play winner. Thank you to Boshkung Brewing Co for their generous support once again, donating all of the gift certificates for tonight’s event.

Low Score: Individual Stroke Play on Holes 2, 3, & 4 (Par 5, 3, 4) - we had a tie (even par) and it was too dark for a tiebreaker so two winners were declared: Keller and Jim B.

Tonight’s group each donated $10 cash for the Coboconk & Area Food Bank so we have a $300 cash donation and have arranged to get it to the food bank. Thanks guys for supporting the local food bank at a time when demand is great.

Next week, sh***un start a little earlier (around 4:30) and we need to know in advance if you’re planning to attend. Please call the pro shop (705-454-0591) to get your name on the list by Monday Sept 28th.
