Nipawin Giants

Another Giants season in the books as we couldn’t quite pull it off in game three against Humboldt. A good series that went the distance, but we ran out of steam.

As we close another year we owe a huge appreciation post to all of our volunteers, umpires, fans, and players who make having a team here in Nipawin possible.

To everyone who has run grills, beer gardens, 50/50s, cashier table, setup diamonds, umped our games, or have even just come out to support the boys… we thank you!

Good luck to both Humboldt and Pasquia as they are going head to head in the finals.

We have ourselves a tied up series. Humboldt takes game 2 last night in a great ball game, but we found the wrong side of it.

Game three goes Thursday, 6:30 in Marysburg! Do or die!

Giants take game one in front of a great crowd. Thank you all for coming out and taking in some Highway 3 Semi final action!

If you missed it… Anson Kroeker and Syd Wilkie managed the mound tonight, doing exactly what we needed them to and more. Colby Rein caught an amazing game behind the plate, our defence caught its stride, and our sticks were hot! Honourable mention to Mark Pierlot for finding himself a 3/3 night, as well as winding up the turbo on the bases.

Work is far from done, as we take off to Marysburg tomorrow to try and wrap up this series.

Bats decided to turn on, 3 home runs coming from Austin Slobodian, Mark Seabrook, and Nick Peterson. Up and down the lineup the boys are shaping up at the right time.

We are coming back to Nipawin!! Highway 3 Playoff Baseball Round 2 is coming to Nipawin so be ready for the dates!

Come support your Giants as they take on the Pasquia Angels Senior Baseball Team.

Tisdale gets the better of us in extra innings. Hats off to the Rangers for a great back and forth game of ball.

On the mound we seen Carter Pierlot and Austin Slobodian pitch a stellar game together. Our bats stayed fairly hot with our defense showing some improvement… but still a little too mildly lukewarm. Nonetheless it was a good effort and we look to reboot.

Next action for the Giants is in Arborfield Monday, June 22 as we take on the Pasquia Angels Senior Baseball Team.
