NEWLY ADDED: U14 Girls trials 🔵
We're looking for the best U14 girls (2013) in the Niagara Region — because the OPDL is where the best challenge themselves, week in, week out.
Trials start Tuesday Sept 8 at the E.E. Mitchelson Turf:
🗓 Tuesdays · 5:30–7:00 PM - Sept 8th
🗓 Mondays · 7:00–8:30 PM - Sept 14th
and continues these days each week.
NFSC is the only club in the Niagara Region offering both OPDL and SISL (South Integrated Soccer League, formerly I-Model) — with more exposure and provincial opportunities.
If you think you can play with the best in the province, then come do it each week where you will have more exposure on you for taking you to the next step in your soccer journey!
Everyone must sign up to take part — walk-ons can't be evaluated. Register at nfsc.ca before your first session. Questions? [email protected]

ALL U13 (2014) players — this one's for you.
Our U13 player pool offers every level of competition — OPDL, SISL (South Integrated Soccer League, formerly I-Model) and district — and we're the only club in the Niagara Region that can offer every level at U13 and above. Anywhere else, the league you join is as high as you can go.
Think the SISL is the best? Okay — we have it too. But the OPDL is where the best play, where the strongest competition is week in, week out — no question. And the pathway up is open to every player who's ready for that jump. No other club can promote SISL players into the OPDL through call-ups — with that comes more exposure and provincial opportunities.
One pool. Every level. Freedom to move when you've earned it.
Registration required — sign up at nfsc.ca before your first session.

Let's clear up the misinformation about "open roster."
It's not two separate teams, and it's not a free-for-all. It's one large pool of players — with separation inside it (at times). Sessions run mixed and split strength-on-strength, mirrored side by side, with coaches floating between groups: same voice, same message, same football.
Open roster gives our coaches and technical staff the flexibility to move players and rosters week to week when it's needed or earned — a tough district fixture, injuries, vacations, or a player whose training has earned a shot at a higher level. It doesn't mean teams change every week or that every player moves. It means players develop at their own pace — and the opportunity is there when you earn it.
Because everyone trains together — mixed and separate — moving between teams is never a shock. And it's not optional: the open player pool is mandatory for every club from U8 to U13 with more than one team in an age group.

⚽📣 U13 (2014) OPDL Player Pool — Open Sessions 🥅🔥
📣🔥 The U13 player pool is open!
At U13 there are no fixed rosters. Every club runs the age group as an open player pool — so you join our pool, not a set team, and players are named to game rosters week to week: OPDL and district-level games, and if the region runs a U13 Division in the SISL (South Integrated Soccer League - Formerly IModel), we'll field an SISL team as well.
One pool. Open roster. Real competition every week.

⚽ WHAT ARE OPEN ROSTERS & OPEN SESSIONS?
As of the 2026 season, the updated Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards are mandatory for every member organization in Canada — clubs, academies, districts and leagues. Tryouts and trials are no longer permitted at U4–U13.
Here's what replaces them:
🔹 OPEN ROSTERS — players register into a Player Pool, not a fixed team. Teams are built from that pool for competition and can change week to week, so games stay balanced and players get new teammates, new roles and more ways to grow. Balanced to U9, streamed from U10 through ongoing observation.
🔹 OPEN SESSIONS — the player-friendly replacement for tryouts. New players join normal training for 2+ weeks (or 4+ sessions) and are observed over time. No standalone evaluation event, no pressure day — placement is based on interest, not ability.
Swipe through for the full breakdown, including what this means for your child.
