Are you sitting down all day? Your posture matters more than you think.
Small adjustments to how you sit and move can reduce strain, improve comfort, and even support your overall cardiovascular health.
Don’t forget to stay active when away from the desk as well!

Your heart doesn’t just keep you alive, it gives you feedback every day! Learning what to notice can make a big difference over time. ❤️
🟥 Red flags to be aware of:
Chest pain or discomfort (even mild): any pressure, tightness, or discomfort in the chest shouldn’t be ignored. Even subtle or occasional symptoms can be your body signaling strain or reduced blood flow.
Persistent fatigue with no clear cause: if you’re feeling drained, even after resting, it can sometimes mean your heart isn’t pumping efficiently, so your body isn’t getting the proper oxygen and nutrients it needs.
Shortness of breath from light activity: feeling winded from simple things like walking or climbing stairs may signal that your heart and lungs are working harder than they should be for basic movement.
🟩Green flags to be aware of:
You can stay active without discomfort: daily activities and light exercise feel manageable and steady, showing that your heart can handle physical demand without unnecessary stress.
You can recover quickly after activity: if your heart rate and breathing return to normal quickly after movement, it’s a strong sign of good cardiovascular fitness and resilience.
Health blood pressure and heart rate numbers: these are key indicators of how efficiently your heart is working. Stable number (around 120/80 blood pressure and 60-100 heart rate) often reflect good circulation and lower strain on the cardiovascular system.
🫀 Heart health is about paying attention early, staying consistent, and supporting your body in ways that add up over time. Take a moment today to check in with how you feel. Your body is always communicating.

No time to slow down? This is for you.
Sometimes we don’t have the chance to have time to ourselves during the day so try incorporating the tips and tricks above into your daily routine while doing chores or on the go! Sometimes you don’t need a full hour to reset, just a few real moments that belong to you.
Be honest, when was the last time you paused for yourself?

Sometimes you don’t need a gym, just a good path, and a little bit of time with nature. Check out Queenston Heights Park, the Fallsview Trail, or Kings Bridge Park next time you are looking for a peaceful outdoor stroll!
Moving your body doesn’t have to be intense to be meaningful, it just has to happen!
If you had a free hour, where would you go for a walk? 🚶♀️
