Sara Raymond Dance Academy

We are so lucky to have Champion Dancer John Kirkconnell come monthly to teach our community.

On Saturdays we run a two hour workshop followed by a social. This is a novice level workshop - perfect for those who know the basics and we will go beyond.

We wrap up the evening at about 10pm and then head over to our neighbours at BIN4 and then have a community hang out with their 50% off burgers (or grab a fun dessert!).

Sundays we host an intermediate two hour workshop geared for dancers that are really focused on working on their craft. If you live in the Nanaimo area, Sara's level 2 class on Mondays use what John works on all month. This really gets dancers to work on what they've learned and progress in their dance skills.

We are just starting a new day program for toddlers led by Sara and we want to offer it to the community for just $30 a month! (that's a $20 savings!)

We have have Baby Ballet and Baby Hip Hop available (or stay for both!)

Toddlers 2.5yrs - 4yrs is the perfect age bracket for these programs.

Our toddler program is flexible in terms enrolment. If you find they are not ready to commit for a full year we just need one months notice.

What I love about our studio is we have fun with SO many styles!

Here is another example: Line Dancing!!

What is our line dance program? It's not just country music. Essentially we use all types of music (top 40, pop, rock, country etc.) and it's a phrased dance that you repeat on different walls.

Fun fact: It's an amazing brain exercise for all ages as it makes you take information and flip it backwards.

Our line dance kids program is quite popular and we've had some dancers compete locally and at the world championship level!

Adult Beginner Ballet!
Come join us at the studio for a beginner ballet course. This is a gentle course with not too much jumps or intense stretching.
The class is from 7:45-8:45pm
This would be really great for those that social dance and are looking to work on your basic dance technique!
