About Us
SATA TRAILS SOCIETY:
SATA Trails Society was established in 2014 with the goal to increase the number and quality of AT trails and greenways available in the community. SATA Trails has the LOA (Letter of Authority) for the Gaetz Brook Greenway and we are following funding, legal and environmental requirements and recommendations to make this greenway accessible to all ages and physical abilities. We are taking care to ensure that the greenway is as sustainable, environmentally-friendly, and low-maintenance as possible. SATA TRAILS SOCIETY and SHORE ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATION
SATA is comprised of two sister organizations that are separate and distinct: SATA Trails Society and Shore Active Transportation Association. Both organizations share many of the same volunteers and have similar goals and values. The web page, ShoreAT.ca, is the primary point of contact for SATA Trails, and Shore Active Transportation Association also posts their activities and events there. Both groups share a newsletter which is available from the webpage.
