The Muskoka Hornets are excited to host the 14U YSBA Championships this weekend!

The action gets underway TODAY at 4:00 PM at McCulley-Robertson Park – Selkirk Diamond F, with our very own 14U Muskoka Hornets kicking off the tournament against Orangeville! 💛🖤

Come out, fill the sidelines and cheer on the Hornets as they battle it out with some of the best teams in York-Simcoe all weekend long!

13U Cole (Mets) vs Jack (Diamondbacks) gave us a quarterfinal thriller… the second it ended they tried to fold each other like lawn chairs.

Playoff intensity? High.
Brotherly love (& shenanigans)? Even higher.

They’re not on the roster, but they are on the move — sprinting, cartwheeling, dirt‑diving, and turning every diamond into their own personal chaos kingdom.

💛🖤 Hornets House League: Rain? Never heard of her.
Today’s “slightly heavier than a drizzle” rain tried its best… and the Hornets just laughed, slid through puddles, and kept swinging like it was sunshine with extra seasoning.
Our players? Unbothered.
Our fans? Committed enough to consider bringing snorkels.
Hornets don’t cancel for drizzle. Hornets challenge the drizzle to keep up.

There’s still time to apply for the Muskoka Hornets Post-Secondary Scholarship!

A huge thank you to the Huntsville Men’s Slo-Pitch League, whose generous sponsorship makes this $1,000 scholarship possible. Their support of our Hornets athletes extends beyond the ball diamond and helps celebrate their continued success in the classroom. 💛🖤

The scholarship is open to current Hornets players entering post-secondary this fall, as well as former Hornets players currently attending a post-secondary institution. Special consideration will be given to athletes continuing to play baseball at the college or university level.

The Muskoka Hornets are now accepting Head Coach applications for the 2027 season!

Based on our preliminary player pool, we expect to field teams at 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 13U AA, 15U A & Select, 16U and 18U, subject to player availability.

If you’re passionate about baseball, player development and helping build the future of the Hornets program, we’d love to hear from you!
