⚾ FIRST WIN FOR NL! 🇨🇦

The 15U Baseball Newfoundland & Labrador Development Team earned its first victory of the Bay to Bay Series tonight, defeating Saugeen Sting 15U 14–4 in Port Elgin!

NL set the tone early and scored in each of the first five innings, including a five-run fourth, while finishing the night with 12 hits. Kearney launched a home run, Dempster went 2-for-3 with three RBI, and Hickey added two hits — including a double — and drove in two. White, Hibbs and Langdon combined on the mound to hold Sting to four hits, with Hibbs delivering 2⅓ scoreless innings in relief.

A huge thank you to the Sting 15U team and Saugeen Shores Minor Baseball for the warm welcome, excellent hospitality, and a great evening of baseball.

The post-game team photo says it all — competition on the field, respect and sportsmanship after the final out.

The inaugural game of the Bay to Bay Series is officially in the books, with our 13U team taking the field for the series opener.

A huge thank you to Saugeen Shores Minor Baseball for the warm welcome and for hosting both of our Baseball Newfoundland & Labrador development teams. It was a fantastic evening of baseball and sportsmanship… the perfect way to begin this exciting series.
