🌱🐢 Remember earlier this season when we asked everyone to keep an eye out for turtles crossing the road and nesting areas?

Well, the eggs are now hatching and some babies have been spotted on the course!

Recently, members of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission's environmental team joined Parks of the St. Lawrence staff, conservation partners, and Parks Canada to celebrate the release of baby snapping turtles along the Thousand Islands Parkway. These tiny hatchlings were part of efforts to help protect vulnerable turtle populations and give them the best possible start in the wild.

If you're visiting the course this fall, please continue to watch for turtles. Every little bit helps protect local wildlife and preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us. 💚

🏌️‍♂️👏 Today is Thank a Superintendent Day!

If you've spent any time on the course this season, chances are you've already met Lloyd. Having first started here at just 15 years old, Lloyd returned this year as our Superintendent, bringing years of experience, dedication, and passion to the role.

Before most golfers are even awake, Lloyd and the entire maintenance team are already hard at work preparing the course for the day ahead. Their commitment behind the scenes is what keeps the course looking its best and makes every round possible. With the high rainfall levels this season, it has certainly been a challenge but Lloyd has kept the course looking its best.

The next time you see Lloyd out on the course, be sure to say hi!
