Ontario Powerlifting Association

Team Ontario showed up and showed out at the IPF World Championships in Lithuania this past week! First was Luke Homer placing 4th in the 74kg class hitting a national record squat of 295, a 160 bench press, and a 315 deadlift for a 770 total. Having placed 2nd at nationals and beating out the national champion, Jacob Lavoie, on the day. Next was Kafui Hotsonyame placing 5th with a 290 squat, 182.5 bench, and a PR deadlift of 342.5. Finally was Brittany Schlater, setting a new world record total of 756.5, and bringing her 4th world title home. She hit a 302.5 squat, a 165 bench, and a 289 deadlift. What a phenomenal showing from all three athletes as each athlete either matched or beat their personal best totals on the world stage. Great job!
