..and just like that...evolved from Ph.D student to candidate...the light at the end of the tunnel is now more radiant...

Walter was gifted a family of stuffed ducks from colleagues in China. He takes these ducks everywhere and in watching his connection with them I thought about the importance of bonds. As time moves on the nature of bonds may change, but those that make us feel grounded or secure represent the most powerful of forces. So Walter, despite the noise your duck family makes, I am happy they add to your sense of security.
