This year’s recipient of the Coach of the Year Award is Daniel Doiron of team Vélo Fusion.

Dan’s coaching stands out not only for its technical quality, but for its intent and structure. He arrives at sessions with purposeful drills and routes designed to build skills, confidence, and race readiness.

In just a couple years he has built a supportive environment for a broad range of athletes. His vision for his team has also directly strengthened the competitive pathway for several developing riders, providing them with structure, challenges, and an opportunity to advance.

He is always present at competitions, ready to assist in any capacity, whether it’s mechanical support, race-day prep, or steady encouragement. His commitment extends into the details of athlete care, ensuring riders are supported with essentials like water, wipes, tools, and even the occasional muffin.

Cette année, le prix d'Entraîneur de l'Année est décerné à Daniel Doiron, de l'équipe Vélo Fusion.

Le coaching de Dan se distingue non seulement par sa qualité technique, mais aussi par sa méthode et sa structure. Il arrive à chaque séance avec des exercices et des parcours ciblés, conçus pour développer les compétences, la confiance et la préparation à la compétition.

En seulement quelques années, il a créé un environnement stimulant pour un large éventail d'athlètes, dont beaucoup ont dépassé les premières étapes de leur développement, mais restent motivés pour progresser.

Sa vision pour son équipe a également permis de renforcer le parcours compétitif de plusieurs jeunes cyclistes prometteurs, en leur offrant un cadre structuré, des défis stimulants et la possibilité de progresser.

Il est toujours présent lors des compétitions, prêt à apporter son aide de toutes les manières possibles, qu'il s'agisse d'assistance mécanique, de préparation pour le jour de la course ou d'encouragements constants. Son engagement se manifeste jusque dans les moindres détails concernant le bien-être des athlètes : il veille à ce que les cyclistes disposent de tout le nécessaire, comme de l'eau, des lingettes, des outils et même, de temps en temps, un petit muffin.
