What an incredible way to open Sail Canada Youth Fest, the C420 Youth Championship & CORK International in Kingston!
This year’s opening ceremonies celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games, when the Olympic sailing competition was held right here in Kingston. The celebration even included a replica of the 1976 Olympic torch, carried through the waterfront streets alongside athletes connected to those historic Games. 🔥🏅
Now, 50 years later, our own PCYC Race Team sailors are competing on these same waters.
We’re incredibly proud to have four PCYC Ilca sailors and two C420 teams competing in Gold Fleet and as they head into their final day of racing today. 💙⛵
After thunderstorms cut yesterday’s racing short, we’re hoping Kingston delivers a full day on the water to finish an unforgettable week.

One of sailing’s favourite unofficial traditions. After the trophies are handed out, the celebration isn’t quite over until the champions take one final trip… straight into the water! 🌊😄

After four days of competition, sailors from across Canada and the United States put on an incredible display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship on Lake Ontario. From challenging weather to exciting finishes, it was a championship to remember.
