I remember being afraid to rebrand and recreate my business for a very long time.
I thought people would get upset and leave. I had a misguided idea they were there for a name, and not the environment I had created. I felt the risk of making a big move really sharply.
Turns out I was wrong about it all. And the support and excitement has been overwhelmingly positive and generous.
Even when I started to paint my walls black 😅
I think it’s because I was making The Lineage and everything about it my own personal vision and expression.
I wasn’t becoming a founder, I was fully stepping into the role of a curator. Every personal touch and change. Every wall we painted ourselves. Every little detail personally selected.
I am going to enjoy sharing our ongoing changes and updates and what’s been motivating my decisions for our community.
If you thought we were done at the grand opening, we were only getting started. More to come soon.

Big things are shifting at The Lineage.
On July 17, our membership structure is changing and our prices are increasing.
Until then, you can still lock in our current auto-renew membership or buy pass options before they change.

The Lineage had it’s first Open House event one week ago and it was a true community vibe 😎
We had 300 guests come to class
We had in-class giveaways
We had post-class refreshments
We gave away free passes
We invited local small businesses owners who are also our members to participate
The whole day was a good vibe⚡️
A special thank you to our open house committee and The Team for helping to plan and manage this event and for making the day run so smoothly for everyone ☺️

The Lineage is Buying Back Your Merchandise 🖤
We appreciate our community and how you represent us so much! Our people are always hype for a new merch drop and we love seeing you wearing our brand 😎
We stand behind our name and our merchandise. That’s why we are offering a buy back program for PYC City Centre merchandise. Trade in your old PYCCC merch with us for credit towards new merch from THE LINEAGE.
How It Works:
Drop your merchandise off at the studio between July 7 to 28 and receive the following credits:
$12 for tank tops and tshirts
$15 for crew neck sweaters
$20 for hoodies
$35 for 2026 lulu items
Important notes:
✔️ Buyback provides merchandise/retail credit only
✔️ Merch credits are good for one year
✔️ Merchandise returned must specifically have City Centre location branding on it
All merchandise we collect will be ethically destroyed and recycled through Canadian Textile Recycling Ltd. to be repurposed.

New Community Guidelines
The experience at The Lineage is our highest concern.
Phones are no longer permitted at your mat during class time.
This small shift helps create fewer distractions, more presence, and a calmer, more connected space for everyone practicing.
As a reminder we have many classes on our schedule where late entry is also not permitted. Please read the class descriptions and arrive 10 minutes before class begins.
Thank you for helping us keep The Lineage feeling intentional, welcoming, and deeply present.

August is Member Appreciation Month at The Lineage and we’re bringing back one of our signature member events 🖤
Our unlimited members and passholders are invited to join us at Bar6 Mississauga on a Friday night to mix and mingle.
We’re meeting outside on the patio. Appetizers and soft drinks are being served. Cash bar is available for cocktails and brew. Let’s get off socials, and be social 😆
