திருகோணமலை மாவட்ட கிரிக்கெட் சங்கத்தினால் முதல் முறையாக நடாத்தப்படவுள்ள “Philip & Sons Trinco Premier League” தொடரின் பிரதான அனுசரணையாளர்களாக எமது கழகத்தின் ஸ்தாபகரான திரு. பிலிப் ஜஸ்டின் அவர்களும் அவரது சகோதரர்களும் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.

தங்களின் அன்புத் தந்தையாரும் மறைந்த திரு. பிலிப் (பூபதி) அவர்களின் நினைவாக, இந்தத் தொடருக்கு தாமாக முன்வந்து பிரதான அனுசரணையை வழங்கியுள்ளார்கள்.

திருகோணமலை மாவட்டத்தில் விளையாட்டுத் துறையில் பல திறமையான இளைஞர்கள் இருந்தாலும், வடகிழக்கு மாகணங்களில் உள்ள மாவட்டங்களுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில் திருகோணமலை மாவட்ட இளைஞர்களுக்கான வாய்ப்பு மட்டுபடுத்த நிலையிலே உள்ளது என்பதுடனும் அவர்களுக்கான வாய்ப்புகள் இன்னும் குறைவாகவே காணப்படுகின்றன. இதனை கருத்தில் கொண்டு, மாவட்டத்தின் அனைத்து வீரர்களுக்கும் சமமான வாய்ப்பை வழங்குவதோடு, பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் மறைந்து இருக்கும் திறமைகளை வெளிக்கொணரும் நோக்கில் இந்த அனுசரணை வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
