Iโ€™ve recently looked through some accounting webpages, and hereโ€™s what stuck out to me.

โ€œWe give you value, peace of mind, and clarity.โ€
โ€œService thatโ€™s approachable, accessible, and accountable.โ€

All good things, yet a lot of businesses give an opening statement thatโ€™s generic enough to apply to any service business.

To be appealing to someone, it canโ€™t be for everyone.

Ask: What problem are you solving, what outcomes does your ideal market look for?

Here are some good examples I came across:

โ€œThe expertise you need to save. The insight you need to grow.โ€
โ€œYour legacy starts with the right strategy.โ€

Persuasion is a critical leadership skill.

There is an incredible shift that happens when you stop just absorbing big ideas and finally start building the map to achieve them.

Last Friday, Ola, Bhavin, and I hosted our local GrowthCLUB workshop, channeling all that momentum from the James Vincent Seminar a week before into raw ex*****on.

Real growth means sitting down to do the work, making hard decisions, and avoiding common ex*****on traps.

We broke down OKRs, (objectives and key results), plus the major OKR mistakes holding business owners back, such as:

โ€ข Setting too many objectives or low-value goals.
โ€ข Disguising "business-as-usual" tasks as growth.
โ€ข Insufficient key results and a lack of team alignment.
โ€ข Linking OKRs to employee evaluations instead of growth.

After a morning of strategic learning, collaborative problem-solving, and lunch, everyone spent the afternoon heads-down on their actual roadmaps.

I challenged every entrepreneur in the room with one question:

They simply felt like you stopped caring the moment their invoice was settled.

To counter this, add CNEs (Critical Non-Essentials). These are small, unexpected gestures that arenโ€™t required, but make a massive emotional impact because they surprise the customer.

It can be as simple as a courtesy check-in 24 to 48 hours after a first purchase.

If your emotional bank account runs into a negative balance, people hit "unsubscribe" or take their business to a competitor.
