Facilitating nervous-system resets for others, then realizing I had skipped my own all day. 😅

When your system is overstimulated, you do not need to solve everything at once. 🐴

Curious about experiencing a deeper connection with horses? Follow us for moments of calm and self-discovery.

You do not have to pretend to be calm around horses. 🐴
Zorro has a quiet way of being with people in grief, fear, uncertainty, and anxiety. He does not ask anyone to hide what they are feeling - only to slow down, breathe, and be real.

Our horses help people discover more about themselves through honesty, presence, and connection.

Follow for more insights into how horses connect with us. 🤍

You’ll all get this! 😁

When a horse walks away, let them. 🐴
Space is not rejection. When they are free to leave, they are also free to choose connection. And when they come back, it means something different. 🤍

In the last Reel, we talked about staying safe behind a horse. 🐎
This is what it looks like when Zorro asks for more space.
In this moment, he begins with smaller signals: a tail swish, ears back, and a clear look in my direction. Then he lifts his hind leg.
He is communicating.
My job is not to push through, correct him, or ask him to tolerate more. My job is to notice, step away, and give him choice.

When we respect their communication early, we support safety-for the horse and for the humans around them.
Every horse and every situation is different. When you are unsure, create space.
What helps you notice when a horse is asking for more room?

“Aren’t you scared you’ll get kicked standing behind them?” 😬
It’s one of the questions we hear most often.
The honest answer: horses can kick, and no one should casually stand in a horse’s kicking zone. Every horse, circumstance, and situation is different.
But safety around horses is not simply about memorizing a “safe spot.” It is about knowing the individual horse, noticing body language, respecting space, moving thoughtfully, and never assuming.
Horses are always communicating. Our job is to slow down enough to listen. 👂

What is something horses have taught you about awareness?

What happens when you have zero agenda…
You make room for connection to choose you.
No asking. No trying to make a moment happen.

💙 When I filmed this, I had been revisiting all my usual doubts and fears.

The thoughts that question whether I’m enough. Whether I’m on the right path. Whether I can trust myself.

Chance was standing at a distance when he saw me. Then he chose to walk directly towards me.

He stopped, turned around and gave me the ‘eye’ you see in the video. Then he let out a huge neigh, as if to remind me who I am and invite me to leave those thoughts behind.

It was a quiet but powerful message: you don’t need to carry all of that right now.

When we partner with a horse, there is often so much to notice.
Sometimes even a response we weren’t expecting.

Horses can invite us to slow down enough to notice what is happening in our bodies, our emotions and the space between us. And sometimes, in that quiet exchange, we receive something we didn’t know we needed.

That is part of what we’ll explore in Unarmoured.

You’ll have time in the field with our herd to notice, connect and experience what unfolds when you meet a horse with curiosity and presence.

🐴 No riding. No performance. Just the opportunity to be with the horses and see what they may have to teach you.
