Kayaking has become very popular here in SE Alberta. Beginner Lessons ensure You learn the proper fundamentals of Kayaking.
There are Lessons being offered this coming Sunday, at the Medicine Hat Family Leisure Centre.

IN POOL KAYAK LESSONS ARE BACK! Sunday November 21, 2021, 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Cost $60 per person. If interested, you must preregister and prepay, as space is limited.

Strathcona Washroom
Credit to the City Parks and Recreation going ahead and installing the Washroom at the Strathcona Island Park Boat Ramp area.
It is a much needed, and welcomed by all Paddlers and Boaters in the area.
The new, fully accessible, washroom will be the same as in the photograph, but will have the Medicine Hat approved color theme- mainly blue, white and taupe.
Parks and Recreation is anticipating completion in November.
It is being located at the edge of the green belt island, between the Parking Lot and the Ramp.

Hat, Hat Regatta - 2021
The 8th Annual Hat, Hat Regatta went off under phenomenal weather conditions, on Saturday, 25/September, hosted by the Medicine Hat Paddling Club, which has been around Medicine Hat for 35 years now
Temperatures of 30C, as 42 Paddlers, in 37 Boats (Kayaks, Canoes and Stand Up Paddle Boards), Paddled down the historic South Saskatchewan River, from Echo Dale Regional Park, to Strathcona Island Park, through the heart of the City, for a distance of 10.7 kms., under the glorious Fall Colours.
Not bad for a Fall Day, in Southeastern Alberta.

The Hat, Hat Regatta 2021 welcomes all Paddlers; from Kayakers, Canoeists, Stand Up Paddleboarders, to Rafters; and of all skill levels; from beginner to experienced.
Leisurely enjoy Paddling the moving waters of the South Saskatchewan River and the landscapes of the sheltered coulees of Medicine Hat as we paddle down river on the South Saskatchewan River from the pristine oasis, Echo Dale Regional Park (Boat Ramp) through the heart of Medicine Hat, ending up at the Strathcona Island Park Boat Ramp.
