The Medicine Hat College Women’s Basketball program is are excited to announce the commitment of Nikki Lynch for the 2026-2027 season ✍️🤝

Nikki joins the Rattlers from Regina, Saskatchewan, where she attended Miller High School and competed with Elite Basketball Training. The 5’10” guard will begin in the University Transfer - Arts program at Medicine Hat College before pursuing a career in Nursing.

Nikki brings excellent size to the guard position and is a confident perimeter shooter who can stretch the floor and create space for her teammates. She has the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc and make defenses pay when given room. Nikki is committed to her craft, passionate about the game, and possesses tremendous upside as a player. As she continues to develop physically and add strength, we believe her overall game will continue to grow.

Nikki comes from a family that is passionate about basketball, and the support of her parents has played an important role in her development both on and off the court. Their encouragement and commitment have helped shape Nikki into the student-athlete she is today.

Head Coach Chad Watson is excited to welcome Nikki to the Rattlers. Watson shared that “Nikki can really shoot the basketball and has great size for a guard. She is committed to improving, loves the game, and has a lot of potential. As she continues to get stronger and develop her overall game, we believe she has a very bright future within our program.”

The Medicine Hat Men’s Basketball program is excited to announce the commitment of Davion Burdette to the 2026-27 season ✍️🤝

Davion joins the Rattlers from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he graduated from Cheyenne High School before beginning his collegiate career at Corban University and later continuing at Linn-Benton Community College in the NWAC.

The 6’2” combo guard brings an aggressive, attacking style of play to the Rattlers. Offensively, Davion is a true three-level scorer who can knock down shots from the perimeter, create in the mid-range, and excels at getting downhill to finish through contact at the rim. He possesses outstanding court vision and consistently makes the right read, creating quality scoring opportunities for his teammates. Shooters will love playing alongside Davion, as his ability to pe*****te the defense creates open looks on the perimeter.

On the defensive end, Davion is a relentless competitor. He is a lockdown on-ball defender who takes pride in making life difficult for opposing guards. His anticipation, instincts, and ability to jump passing lanes create turnovers that lead to easy transition opportunities. Despite standing 6’2”, Davion plays much bigger than his size. He is an outstanding rebounder for a guard who isn’t afraid to battle in the paint, and his toughness, physicality, and competitive motor allow him to impact winning in a variety of ways.

Head Coach Rich Humphrey is excited to welcome Davion to Medicine Hat.

“Davion is a dynamic two-way guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He can score at all three levels, creates opportunities for his teammates, and competes with an edge every time he steps on the floor. His toughness, defensive mindset, and ability to rebound well beyond his position are qualities that fit exactly what we’re building here. We’re excited to welcome Davion to the Rattler family and look forward to seeing the impact he’ll have on our program.”

The Medicine Hat Rattlers Women’s Soccer program is excited to announce the signing of Jordan Kenney for the 2026-2027 season 🤝✍️

Jordan joins Medicine Hat College from Edmonton, AB, and will be one more addition to the Rattlers defence.

Coach Damir Omerovic shared that “Jordan is a talented goalkeeper with great potential to continue developing within our program. She is joining us highly motivated to compete at the collegiate level and take the next step in her growth as a player. Her shot-stopping ability, strong communication and leadership from the back, along with her composure on the ball and quality distribution, will bring many valuable qualities to our team. We are excited to welcome Jordan to our program and look forward to watching her compete and continue to grow in Rattlers colours.”

The Rattlers legend Jordan Mckee has signed his second professional contract and is heading to Germany to play for the Volley Goats.

After three years with the Rattlers, Jordan signed his first pro contract in 2025 and moved to Hungary. Now entering his second year in Europe, he is taking his heading to Germany to play for the Volley Goats.
