Exercise doesn’t have to look like exercise. 💪✨

Take it from the Queen herself, Dolly Parton. 👑

Dolly has famously talked about her “diddly squats”—her fun, unconventional way of getting some movement into her day. She never pretended to love traditional exercise, and honestly, we can appreciate that. 😂

Because movement doesn’t have to mean a gym, a treadmill or a perfectly structured workout.

It can be dancing in your kitchen. 💃
Taking the stairs.
Walking the dog. 🐕
Gardening.
Stretching while you watch TV.
Putting on your favourite song and just moving.

And while Dolly may have talked about her diddly squats, we know this Queen did so much more than that. ❤️

She moved us with her music.
She moved us with her kindness.
She moved us with her humour, heart and generosity.

And she will continue to move generations to come. 🎶👑

So today, as we honour Dolly and the incredible life she shared with the world, maybe the best tribute is to keep moving.

Dance to the song you love.
Sing a little louder.
Laugh a little harder.
Do a few diddly squats.

And keep moving forward.

Thank you, Dolly, for giving us so many reasons to smile, sing and move. Your music and your spirit will keep moving us for generations to come.

Rest easy, Queen. 👑💗🎶

🍔❤ Burgers to Beat MS is happening August 20! ❤🍔

Let's turn a simple meal into something meaningful. Every burger purchased helps support Canadians living with Multiple Sclerosis and contributes to important research and programs.

As a fitness community, we know the power of coming together for a cause. Whether you're crushing workouts, hitting your step goals, or enjoying a burger with friends and family, every bit of support makes a difference.

For those counting macros:
🍔 Teen Burger (no bacon) ≈ 430 calories | 24g protein | 39g carbs | 21g fat. Based on A&W's published Teen Burger nutrition with the bacon removed.

Who's in? Drop a 🍔 in the comments if you'll be supporting Burgers to Beat MS on August 20!

Run Canada Podcast: EP 147. Shannon Coates 08/14/2026

A Little Inspiration Before We Run 💗
What if our next workout wasn't just about us?

This October, I'm encouraging TEAM IRON elles clients and friends to consider joining the Saskatoon - Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. You don't need to be a runner. You can walk, jog, run, or do a combination of all three.

It's about moving together, supporting our community, and showing up for something bigger than ourselves. 💗

Before we start talking about training, I want to share a podcast episode that I think is worth a listen.

🎧 Run Canada Podcast – EP 147: Shannon Coates
Shannon was an active member of the running community when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her story touches on treatment, movement, running, positivity and the importance of community.

👉 Listen to Shannon's story here:
https://womenruncanada.libsyn.com/ep-147-shannon-coates

Give it a listen and think about what it means to keep moving, keep showing up, and support someone who may be facing something much harder than a workout.

Then let's get a TEAM IRON elles crew together for the Saskatoon Run for the Cure! 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♀️💗

You don't have to be fast. You just have to show up.

Run Canada Podcast: EP 147. Shannon Coates Shannon Coates is a dedicated member of the Winnipeg running community. Her smile lights up any race event or run group she is at, and her relentlessly cheerful attitude will carry you through all the miles. But since the fall, Shannon has been on a different journey. After being diagnosed with brea...

✨ Real Results. Sustainable Change✨

Every transformation looks different because every client's journey is unique.

At TEAM IRON elles, we specialize in personalized nutrition and strength training programs designed to help our clients achieve their individual goals whether that's weight loss, building muscle, improving body composition, increasing confidence in the gym, or creating a healthier lifestyle.

This incredible client participated in our Wellness Accountability Program, combining personalized nutrition coaching, ongoing accountability, and regular check-ins with periodic one-on-one training sessions with Leanne. Those in-person sessions helped reinforce proper lifting technique, build confidence with strength training, and ensure she continued progressing safely and effectively.

The result wasn't just a physical transformation—it was the outcome of consistent habits, commitment, and trusting the process. 💪❤️

There are no shortcuts. Just the right plan, ongoing support, and showing up one step at a time.

Ready to start your own journey? We'd love to help you discover what you're capable of.

☀️ Summer Exercise Doesn't Have to Be All or Nothing 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️💪

If your routine feels off this summer, you're not alone. Vacations, BBQs, kids' activities, and the heat can all throw us off. Instead of trying to be perfect, try these four strategies:

🌅 1. Chase the shade, not the sun.
Skip the hottest part of the day. Early mornings, late evenings, or shaded trails can make exercise feel dramatically easier—and much more enjoyable.

🎯 2. Lower the starting line.
Tell yourself you'll do just 10 minutes. Most days you'll keep going, but even if you don't, you've still kept the habit alive. Consistency beats intensity.

📍 3. Let your destination be the reward.
Walk to grab a coffee, bike to the farmers' market, or hike to a scenic viewpoint. When movement has a purpose beyond "working out," it often feels like less of a chore.

📅 4. Protect your streak, not your schedule.
Summer schedules are unpredictable. Instead of missing a workout because you don't have an hour, ask yourself, "What's the smallest thing I can do today?" A walk around the block, a quick mobility session, or a few strength exercises all count.

🌻 Remember, fitness isn't built in one amazing workout—it's built by showing up, especially when life gets busy.

💛 Your body doesn't need perfection this summer. It just needs you to keep moving.
