From junior golf camp in Markham Green Golf Club to playing together at Angus Glen Golf Club.

I recently got paired with fiona baxter , who first came to my junior golf camp when she was 12.

After the round, I went back and found these old camp photos and videos, including the birthday cake I brought for her during camp.

When I coach juniors, I am teaching golf, but I also hope they carry something with them: confidence, patience, focus, respect for the game, and the ability to hit a bad shot and keep going.

Eventually, some of your junior students stop being your juniors.

They become golfers you get to tee it up with.

After another summer of junior golf camps in Markham, that is one of the most rewarding results I could ask for.

Can golf teach teamwork?

Absolutely, especially when juniors get the chance to play the game together.

These four campers played the hole as a team. They walked the fairway together, contributed their shots, made decisions together and shared the result.

This time, the result was a birdie.
