Aug 09.26. Quarter and Semifinals

Here are some highlights from last week's games at Maple Ridge Secondary. Guardians of the Endzone and Wookie Mistakes (Our 2nd and 4th seed respectively) managed to come out with two wins each and will be competing in the championship game tomorrow night after the third place game (Throwbie-wan Kenobi vs. Throwbocop). After that we will hold our awards ceremony, have some good food and party. So make sure you bring your friends and stick around!

Our last week of regular games until we go into a weekend of break and then playoffs! Lots of competitive match ups in our brackets and shifting in the leaderboards. Excited to see which team comes on top. ✨️✨️

More competitive games at the Karina turf. Many teams are experiencing low attendance and having to play down players or play savage. Remember to try to find subs ahead of time and reach out to MRU leadership if you need help! Take extra hydration breaks, especially when it's hot. Communicate with the other team to find a compromise that works with both sides. Together, we can make sure our games are spirited and safe ❤️🔥🌞

Shout out to Ted last week for bringing a big TV to watch the World Cup games! Everyone was tuned in Although it definitely brought some distration to both teams from their actual games 😆

Field party weekend🎊🎊

What a blast of an event last Sunday! After some heated games, we all gathered for some delicious pizza and sweet treats. There were fun lawn games, relay races and cool spirit prizes. A big shout out to our Field Party Lead Shelby Hewitt for organizing this event. And thanks to Cassandra Cake Co. for the yummy pastries!📣 Thank you all for coming, already looking forward to the next one!
