2026 Novice Open Singles Championship

We are down from 15 participants to the final 6 ... Almost all of the games Thursday night were very close ... decided by a single point or two ... a few in extra ends!

Ruth Rivers had a great night Thursday, and advances directly to the final on August 28. Shelley Sanderson advances to the semi-final the same night.

Still on the 'B' side will be games next Thursday evening, August 27: Mary Gough vs Judy Hallas, and Bill Sanderson vs Walther Gough.

LLBC's Sandra Martone & Ann Stubbins were first in their pool today at the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association Provincial 'Novice Aussie Pairs' championship, in Cobourg, ON!

They advance to the championship round tomorrow at 9 AM.

Huge 14-12 comeback win Sunday morning! On to the medal round at noon!

Update: 11-4 win in the Semi-Final Game .... Going for GOLD at 3pm.

Final: Provincial Silver Medal for Sandra & Ann! Congratulations!
