New program block coming soon at MVMTS 👀

And whenever I start a new block, I try not to overcomplicate it.

I plan my week.
I track more than just the weights.
I keep my movement standards consistent.
I pick a couple things I actually want to improve.
And most importantly… I give the program enough time to work.

Progress usually isn’t one massive workout or one huge PR.

It’s a bunch of pretty normal training days stacked together over time.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started at MVMTS, the beginning of a new block is a pretty great time to jump in.

Small group training. Coaching every session. Programming with a purpose.

Being nervous to start is normal. Not knowing what happens next makes it worse.

So here is exactly how we bring people in at MVMT, from the first call to your 12 week check ins.

No guessing. No being left on your own.

When you’re ready, send us a message and we’ll start with a call.

You don’t need to be comfortable with a barbell before joining MVMTS.

When someone is new to strength training, we don’t rush them into anything. We often start with dumbbells, build confidence, practice the movement, and progress from there.

When the barbell makes sense and you feel ready we introduce it.

Strength training should meet you where you’re at, not make you feel like you have to keep up.

Most people in the gym are guessing.

They grab a weight that looks about right, do their reps, and go home. Months pass and nothing changes.

Here is the fix. The number on the dumbbell does not matter. What matters is how hard it feels for you.

If you could do five more reps, it is too light. If your form falls apart, it is too heavy. The right weight sits in the middle, with one or two reps left in the tank.

That is the whole skill.

Save slide 8 for your next session. Send it to the person you train with.

Want it taken off your plate for good? That is what coaching at MVMTS is for.

And that’s a wrap.

Another spring challenge in the books. Huge thank you to everyone who showed up and put in the work. I know this one can feel intimidating, but you proved you were ready for it. I’m so proud of all of you.

Congrats to the W**d Eaters on the spring challenge win. Isaac will snap photos of the whole team for a collage that lives in the gym forever.

And thank you to everyone who came out to the potluck. The food was unreal.

See you at the next one.

Spring Challenge week one is underway and our first challenge is Don’t Drop The Bells, a max distance farmer’s carry, and people have already been putting in some serious work.

Friendly reminder: you can complete this challenge as many times as you want before Sunday.

If you haven’t done it yet, this is your reminder to get it done before or after class. Or you can join Coach Isaac this Friday at 6:30pm where we’ll have a group doing it together.

Current gym leader: Kate with over 500m, which is wild.

But remember, this challenge is not about being number one. It’s about showing up, trying your best, having fun, and maybe finding out your grip is a little tougher than you thought.

Great work so far, everybody.

Chalk up those hands and don’t drop the bells.
